Eunjung Jo was born on the 14th of September, 1997. She was 16 when she died.
Eunjung was very emotional, stubborn and reserved when she was younger. She had a lot of difficulties making friends during junior high, and decided to change her ways as high school rolled around. She became more lively and bright, almost like a different person! She was also very mature. She wanted her parents to call her by her real name instead of 'princess'. Eunjung focused on her studies, and got good grades. Her desk was piled up with books. She was a good friend to Minkyeong Kwon from the same class. Eunjung went to church often, and had a faith in god. Her dream was to become a pharmacist.
According to survivors, Eunjung had been making her way up to the deck, but went back to get her friend. Even in times like that, she valued other people above herself.
Her body was recovered and returned to her family. She now rests at Ansan Sky Memorial Park.
