Bitnara Kim was born on the 8th of December, 1997. She was 16 when she died.
Not much is known about Bitnara. She was the eldest child and the only daughter, and a huge fan of the actor Joo Woo. Her best friend was Haehwa Kim from class 9. She was an active member at the school's drama club, and she became close with Doeon Kim.
She had her last call with her father at 9:41, just after water started coming in. ''Dad, I'm scared. The water is already at my stomach! Get me out of here!'' The call was cut short, and she sent a similar text message one minute later to her mother. ''Mom, pray for me'' Her father rushed to Jindo and anxionsly waited for her daughter. After a few days passed and she had not returned, he jumped to the sea and tried to go look for her.
Her body was recovered shortly after the accident and returned to her parents. She now rests Pyeongtaek Lakeside Memorial Park.
