Hansol Kang was born on the 16th of July, 1997. She was 16 when she died.
Hansol had many friends, and often had them over at her house. They laughed, ate good food and everything in between, but Hansol had to clean her room after they left. Her best friend was Minjeong Kim from the same class, and she was also friends with Siyeon Kim from class 3. Her other best friend was her cat, Raol. She had many friends because of her lively and happy persona. Hansol wanted to be a doctor, but didn' feel confident enough, and wanted to become a nurse instead. When asked why, she said ''I'd make a lot of money, and get myself a house!''
A few days after the sinking, Hansol appeared in her mother's dream. She was burning her school uniform.
Her body was recovered and returned to her parents. She now rests at Hwaseong Sky Memorial Park.
