Danbi Lee was born on the 26th of April, 1997. She was 16 when she died.

Danbi loved her family, and devoted her time to them. She had occasional fights with her younger sister, but they made up later. Danbi was quiet but happy, her only friend being Dahye Lee from the same class. She made sure she smiled often. Danbi loved the artists K.Will and Wheesang. Her ultimate dream was to become a doctor, because she wanted to take care of her grandfather. She had also loved the heart monitor from a young age.

Danbi was among the girls who had lived in an airpocket after the sinking. The other girls were Saeyoung Han, Juhee Kim, Haeju Lee, Hansol Lee and possibly Goeun Han and Songhee Kim. She had been waiting there with her friends, slowly dehydrating, slowly losing hope..

Her body was recovered and returned to her parents. She now rests at Pyeongtaek Lakeside Memorial Park.
