Minwoo Lee was born on the 9th of December, 1997. He was 16 when he died.
Minwoo was the youngest child of his family. They divorced when he was young and had to live with his grandfather, but Minwoo kept a good relationship with his both parents. He was the opposite of his emotionally distant older sister, he had a warm heart and was very mature for his age. Minwoo's grandfather lived near the sea, and Minwoo got into swimming and became good at it. He was also good at cooking, since he had to cook to himself every day. His ultimate dream was to become a fisherman.
After the news of the sinking reached his family, his father didn't worry too much. He thought Minwoo had swam out of the ferry to Jindo.
His body was recovered from the 4th floor, wearing a life jacket and returned to his parents. He now rests at Ansan Sky Memorial Park.
