Exams were sooner than expected for Will. He was leaving early for New York, and somehow his parents convinced the school board to allow him to take his exams early before he left. Therefore he had to study in order to pass them.

However he wasn't exactly in the right state of mind to be taking exams, as his brain was still flooded with sad memories of the relationship he somehow lost. It felt like just yesterday they were caught, when in reality it had been weeks. He was still recovering after waking up in the car park of the diner, and he was ashamed. He had no idea what he did that night, but it couldn't have been good.

Since he had been struggling to focus, he asked Colton for help with studying. He needed someone completely detached from the situation to step in, as this was important and he didn't want any distractions.

"Okay Will, you've answered every single question correctly. Why are you so worried?" Colton asked him.

"I just want to be prepared, okay? I'm leaving for New York earlier than expected so I can settle into the city, so I have to pass these exams," He explains, sighing out of frustration.

The conversation about moving early happened after Dylan informed their parents about his secret love affair, which he would never forgive him for. As he thought they would be, they were horrified at the thought of their son being with someone like him. However they could tell he was heart broken, and would do anything to help him move on. His family admitted they wanted him to have nothing to do with Parker, and so came the suggestion of moving away early.

Of course they disguised it as him getting a head start in his new life in New York, and honestly he didn't mind. They had already let him go to New York on his own before, and he stayed with his Aunt for the summer.

At the time he was sixteen, and it was a summer that he would never forget. It was possible his old friends would still be willing to meet up, and he couldn't help but grin at the thought. Of course, there was always the risk of spending the summer the same way as he did the first time, but at this point he didn't care. If he recalled correctly, he came back in one piece.

If there was one good thing about his break up, it was that Parker would never have to worry about the friends that Will never told him about.

"Wait so when are you leaving?" Colton asked, concern evident in his voice. Was leaving early really a good idea? Will was still only seventeen.

"A few weeks after my birthday, which is next month," He replied, seeing Colton's face fall.

"Wow that's uh... pretty soon," He commented.

"Yeah, well... I've been to New York before. I sort of know it, so I'll be fine," Will reassured him. "But for now I need to focus on studying, so... ask me those questions again?" He smiled slightly, seeing Colton grin back before pulling out his flashcards.

"Are you kidding me Parker? Wyatt has called me about fifty times. You're missing band practice and you smell like a dead fucking cat," Xander snapped as he walked into his friend's room. The curtains hadn't been opened in about a week, and his roommate was practically growing mould.

"I don't care," Parker admitted with a shrug, rolling over in his bed.

"This isn't fair. You are the one who broke up with Will. You can't go on like this. What would he think?" Xander asked, shaking his head disappointedly.

"I made a fucking mistake. I shouldn't have broke up with him," Parker admitted, swallowing the growing lump in his throat. Letting out a sad sigh, his friend reluctantly walked into his bedroom, sitting on the edge of his clothing covered bed.
