3rd Person POV
Midoryia headed over to the exit of the arena, walking up the stairs to the stands. The moment he got through the doors he was immediately greeted by Uraraka and Iida.
"Deku! You were amazing out there!" Uraraka throw her hands up in the air before hugging Midoryia tightly. Midoryia chuckled as he hugged her back.
"I'm just confused on how you managed to overcome Shinsou's mind control." Iida had his hand to his chin while he thought out loud. Midoryia shrugged, rubbing his head. What had he saw out there? Aizawa had mentioned how his quirk had been passed down multiple generations...were those entities the past holders? I'll have to ask him about that later, Midoryia thought to himself.
"If I'm being completely honest, I don't know how I did it either." Midoryia replied, Iida nodding his head.
"Well the important part is that you're moving onto the next round." Uraraka cheered, smiling happily. Midoryia snapped out of his own train of thought before looking at her.
"I completely forgot, you're supposed to fight Bakugo right?" Midoryia asked, worry in his eyes. Uraraka nodded her head, she seemed a little tense at the mention of her fight.
"Yeah, and we all know Bakugo isn't the kind to take it easy on someone..." She shuttered.
"I'm sure you'll do great!" Midoryia assured her, putting his hand on her shoulder. "Besides, we could always strategize before your match if you want."
Uraraka blushed softly before looking away from Midoryia. She thought back to his fight against Shinsou. She had watched him with such admiration as he always remained one step ahead the entire time. Deku's so amazing. He knows exactly what to do in every situation. It's no doubt he'll make a good hero. He wants to make this world better because of the kindness of his heart. I'm just in it for the money... I need to prove that I'm just as reliable of a hero as him!
Uraraka shook off his hand, "I appreciate it Deku, but I think I need to do this on my own."
Midoryia looked at her a little surprised at first before nodding his head. He understand more than anybody what it felt like to need to prove yourself to the world. Uraraka hurried ahead to her waiting room, leaving Iida and Midoryia alone.
"Goodluck!" They called after her. She turned to them and waved before disappearing around the corner.
"Wait so who's fighting right now?" Midoryia asked, looking up to idea.
"Oh, that would be Sero and Todoroki." Iida pushed up his glasses. That was a match that Midoryia wanted to see. They rushed up back to the stands only to find that the match was already over. A mountain of ice seemed to stop mere inches away from the audience's bodies. Sero was captured at the base of it, frozen in his tracks.
"Geez, talk about overboard." Mineta mumbled to Hagakure who nodded in agreement even though nobody could see her head anyways.
Midoryia couldn't make out what was being said while the match concluded but Todoroki seemed pissed as he unfroze Sero.
The next couple of matches went by fast, including Uraraka's. She had hung in there with Bakugo for a while, but in the end her body couldn't handle all the blows that Bakugo was landing on her. In a last ditch effort to subdue him, she used her quirk to send a shower of rocks upon him but he simply blew up the rocks as well. Midoryia felt bad about Uraraka's loss but she seemed pleased with herself for having stayed in for that long.
