Izuku's eyes slowly opened into a squint as he looked at his surroundings. He was being carried but who couldn't tell by who. His vision was still blurry and he had a raging headache making his head throb with every thought he had. "I must have really pushed my limits this time", he thought to himself has his head let off another jolt of pain. He winced which drew the man's attention that was carrying him. The man slowed his running to a jog and then a complete stop.
It appeared they had been running along the roofs of the buildings so the man found a flat top to lay Izuku down on. He waved his hand in front of Izuku's face. "Hey, you awake kid?"
Izuku's vision was beginning to clear, but his head still hurt as the man's face came in focus. Izuku's eyes widen as he recognized the man. "Y-you're Eraser Head!", Izuku stuttered out, pulling himself into a sitting position.
Eraser Head was a little startled from being recognized since not many people knew who he was. He chuckled. "You were pretty brave back there kid.", Eraser Head said with a soft smile. He noticed Izuku flinch again and put his hand on his head. "Did you hit your head in the fight?" Eraser Head asked, examining Izuku's head.
"N-no... I just tend to get really intense migraines if I over use my powers." Izuku explained, looking back up at Eraser Head. Eraser Head nodded, "We should get you to a Care Clinic then, to look over your injuries and get you something for the headache."
Izuku looked down and realized just how scratched up he was. He tried to stand up but immediately got light headed and stumbled back down. Eraser Head tilted his head, "Do you not often use your powers?"
Izuku shook his head. "All the kids at my school think my power's dumb, so I figured I shouldn't use it at all", Izuku said, looking down at the ground. Eraser Head grew a sad expression at his face.
"Well I thought it was a pretty cool quirk." He said, putting his hand on Izuku's shoulder. "Not to mention how good you were at using it considering the fact you haven't been trained in it."
Izuku smiled, looking back up, small tears in his eyes. "Do you think I could use it to become a hero though?" He asked, his voice shaking with each word. Eraser was surprised by the question but looked the kid in the eye.
"Look kid, with the amount of bravery and quick thinking you had back there, I definitely think you could be a hero" Eraser said, smiling back at Izuku. That was exactly what Izuku needed to hear as he let stray tears go down his face. "What's your name anyways kid?" Eraser asked curiously.
"Izuku Midoryia" Izuku replied back. He was about to say something else when another headache hit him.
Eraser got on his feet and helped Izuku back up. "Come on we need to get you to the clinic." He said, helping Izuku in his back. Izuku held onto Eraser's shoulders as the hero took off again using his gear to swing him through the air. Even with a headache, Izuku still took in the view of the streets below him. He watched as cars drove around on the crowded streets and how people pushed past each other to get in line for street vendors. As he was looking down he also noticed a jar in Eraser Head's back pocket that didn't have a lid on it.
"Um Eraser Head?" Izuku said, tapping his shoulder. Eraser Head looked back at him, "What's wrong?"
"W-where did you capture the villain?" Izuku stuttered, eyes still looking at the jar. Eraser looked confused as he answered, "In the jar in my back pocket?"
Izuku's heart dropped as he lifted the jar. "I-it's e-empty."
Eraser immediately sent them flying to the top of another building before setting Izuku down and pulling out the jar. "Damn it", he cursed himself. He had forgotten that once he stopped using his power, the glob would be able to manipulate it's shape, it most likely got big enough to pop the lid off while he was busy worrying about Izuku.
"I'm so sorry", Izuku said, "If you weren't so focused on me then the villain wouldn't have escaped." Eraser shook his head.
"This wasn't your fault at all." Eraser assured him, putting the jar back into his pocket when he heard a loud bang. He rushed to the side of the roof and looked out into the streets where he saw the source of the noise. A giant glob stood in the center of the streets and it appeared to have nabbed another victim.
"Bakugo", Izuku said as his eyes fell to the boy who was stuck in the center of the creature.
