False Security

3rd Person POV

Iida pushed the hospital doors open, allowing Todoroki and Midoryia through. The seriousness of their wounds immediately caught the eyes of the front desk woman and she quickly called for help. Midoryia was able to move at this point but Todoroki refused to let him out of his grasp. Midoryia had been slurring his words and was making less sense than usual so it was obvious he had a concussion.

"Todoroki, lemme go-" Midoryia whined as he weakly tried to flop out of his arms.

"Midoryia quit struggling, the doctors will be here any second." Iida tried to assure his friend. He was right, seeing as when he finished his sentences they were swarmed by doctors asking questions.

"What happened to you kids?" One of them asked.

"These injuries look bad." Another said, causing them to get slapped upside the head by their superior.

"You aren't supposed to say that to a patient, you idiot." She screamed at them before pinching her nose. Her hair was almost silver as it glistened on her dark skin. Yellow irises wrapped around her eyesShe looked to the group before her eyes locked onto Midoryia. Todoroki was watching her as she seemed to almost recognize his friend. "We don't have time for this. We need to get these kids taken care of."

She turned back the group, motioning for her crew to bring her gurneys.

"We can walk ma'am." Todoroki stated, not really liking the attention. The doctor shook her head.

"You're getting on the gurney kid. Besides, your friend right there definitely needs one." She gestured to Midoryia who was muttering to himself.

The crew approached them, coaxing Iida onto a gurney as a few of them tore Midoryia out of Todoroki's hands.

"I'm not getting on the gurney."

"Get on the gurney."

"No."

"Do it or we sedate you."

Todoroki sat on the gurney reluctantly, watching as his friends were wheeled into different rooms.

"Wait, I want to be with my friends though." He protested, turning to the doctor as she pushed his gurney.

"Don't worry kid, you can see each other after we're done with you. Now just relax. All we have to do is stitch up those cuts on your arms." She responded softly.

Todoroki seemed to debate with himself before stating, "Do you know my friend or something?"

His question seemed to catch the doctor by surprise as she paused for a moment. "How exactly did you get your injuries again?" She dodged the question. This only made Todoroki even more on suspicious.

"You didn't answer my question." He said, watching her closely. He scanned her, finding her name tag on her uniform. "Gin."

She hesitated before answering, "No, of course I don't know your friend. How would I?"

The answer didn't please Todoroki but he kept his mouth shut as Gin wheeled him the rest of the way to his room.

"We will be with you shortly. I'm going to go check on your friends since they had worse injuries than you." She said as she closed the door behind her. Todoroki was about to lay down on the bed when he heard a click come from the door. He shot up quickly, rushing towards the door. He turned the handle, only to see that he was locked inside.

"Shit." He hissed to himself. He strained to look out the small window in the door, seeing Gin walk into the room that Midoryia had disappeared into. "SHIT!"

Todoroki took a step back before blasting the door handle with ice, causing it to freeze before he drove his heel down on it. The handle broke off with ease and Todoroki slammed his shoulder into the door, successfully swinging it open.

He ran towards Midoryia's room only to be stopped by a security guard. "Woah there buddy. You should get back to your room, you're pretty cut up."

"No, I want to see my friend." Todoroki sneered, trying to push past him. The guard activated his quirk, causing him to grow almost three times his size.

"You can see your friend after you get your injuries cared for." The guard stated, picking up Todoroki as he thrashed under his grip. The guard turned to look behind him, getting the attention of a nurse. "A little help here."

The woman nodded and rushed over with a needle. "Get away from me." Todoroki warned her. It was no use as she stuck the needle in Todoroki's neck. Drowsiness swept over his body almost immediately.

"N-No, I have to help my friend." Todoroki stuttered as he could feel his eyes growing heavy.

"It's okay kid, let's get you back to your room."

As he was getting carried away, he noticed the door to his friend's room open. Midoryia was wheeled out on a gurney, fast asleep as his head rested on a pillow. Gin was the one pushing him as they entered the hallway. She noticed Todoroki before smiling. She turned away from him and pushed Midoryia down the hall and towards the front door.

"W-Wait." Todoroki croaked out. He could no longer hold his head up and his body felt numb as his mind grew foggier. The last thing he saw before passing out was Midoryia being wheeled out the front door.

"Midoryia."
