New Years Part Two

Chapter 38: New Years Part Two
December 31st 2018

After the little visit with Whitney, Logan and Rory went back into the living room to wait on their guest. They didn't speak of what happened, just moments ago. Logan knew that Rory needed time, and she didn't need to be worked up over this when their family and friends arrived.

After sitting for about an half hour, the door bell rang again.

"I'm going to answer the door. You stay here." Logan demanded, as he stood, while quickly placing a soft kiss to Rory's temple.

Rory was stunned that Logan didn't speak about what went down with Whitney, but she was grateful that he didn't, she wasn't ready to talk about it yet. She needed the rest of the night to go smoothly.

Shortly after Logan left, Grace enter the living room.

"I'm so sorry Mrs. Huntzberger." Grace quietly said. "I shouldn't have let her inside."
"Grace, it's not your fault. We are battling some old fued that happened many many years ago." Rory sweetly replied with a smile.

And at that, Logan entered the room, and coming behind him was Mitchum, Shira, Honour, Josh and the boys, Lorelei, Luke, April, Emily, Jess, Colin, Finn, Robert, Lucy, Juliet, Steph, Rosemary, Paris, Doyle and kids, Christoper, and GiGi.

Rory was so happy to see everyone! But she was even happier to see her half-sister. Rory didn't think she would be back in the states until after the new year.

"GiGi!" Rory exclaimed. "What are you doing here?"
"I came early." GiGi replied. "Actually dad only picked me up from the airport about 2 hours ago."
"Dad, you knew she was coming and didn't tell me?" Rory questioned her father.
"GiGi told me not to tell you. She wanted to surprise her big sister." Christoper said as he held up his hands in surrender.

"We'll I am so happy that the entire family is here, along with our group of friends!" Rory exclaimed. "Come in, take a seat."

As everyone found a place to sit, Rory quickly slipped away. Anna was asleep, but she needed her for the first surprise. So Rory quickly made her way up to Anna's room, but lucky enough, when Rory opened her door, Anna was sat up in her crib.

"Hi, Mommy's girl." Rory whispered. "We have to go surprise everyone with the good news."

Anna just giggled, as Rory took her out of the crib, and got her ready for the surprise.

As Rory was heading down over the stairs, Logan was making his way up them.

"There your are!" Logan said, "Is everything alright?"
"Yes, everything is fine, I just went to check on Anna." Rory replied.

Rory didn't tell Logan the surprise she had set up for their family.

"Well okay then," Logan said. "Our family and friends are waiting for us. Are we ready to tell them the news, about the baby's due date and Joshua?"
"Of course we are!" Rory replied.

They both went down to the living area, and everyone was sitting around, having a drink and chatting amongst themselves. It was a sight that Rory loved. She had everyone she loved in one room, and it made Rory so happy.

Logan cleared his throat, so he could get everyone's attention.

"Family and Friends." He announced. "We have some news to tell you all."
"Is Anna okay?" Lorelei asked.
"Anna is good. She is getting stronger everyday, and hopefully in three weeks we will have some more news to tell you all, but for right now, Anna has something to show everyone." Rory replied with a smile.

Rory placed Anna on the floor, letting her stand, so everyone could see her shirt.

The shirt read "Big Sister Coming August 2019"

Rory knew that everyone knew they were expecting, but no one knew when Baby #2 would be arriving.

Everyone was thrilled to learn that come August there would be another little Huntzberger running around.

Shortly after letting everyone know, about the the due date, Rory pulled Logan aside, since everyone was wrapped up in Anna.

"Are you going to tell them about getting full custody of Joshua?" Rory asked Logan.
"Yes!" Logan replied happily. "But are you sure you want to go ahead with the case, especially with everything that happened with Whitney tonight?"
"Of course I do." Rory replied. "Whitney is the least of our worries. Colin will fight for us and to make sure Joshua gets what he wants. It may take a fight, but I'm all in."
"Your amazing, Ace." Logan said as he pulled Rory into him.

He cupped her cheek, and slowly kissed her. The kiss grew with so much passion and heat, Rory thought she would just have to drag him up stairs.

"Get a room." Finn called out.

Rory and Logan pull out of the kiss, which caused Rory to burry her face into Logan's chest.

"We will later tonight." Logan replies with a giggle.

Everyone laughs.

"Well we have some more news to tell you all." Logan announces. "Rory and myself, have been in talks with Colin, who has been pulling together a custody case for us."

"Custody case for Joshua?" Lorelei asked.

"Yes," Rory answered. "Joshua asked us to have full custody."

"Why?" Mitchum asked. "Was there a specific reason as to why he wants you and Rory to take full custody?"

"He said that his mother is too busy partying and sleeping around to care about what he does." Logan replied. "Dad, I know what your thinking. That they are trying to get our money, but you do realize that the Smith's have money as well. Joshua's aunt is Honour's friend, who stood in her wedding."

"I know all about the Smith's, son." Mitchum replied. "But that doesn't mean anything. They like to get their own way. But if you need any help at all, we, your mother and I, will support you and Rory in any way possible."

"So will we." Luke said. "Lorelei and I are behind you both."

And eventually everyone that was there, was saying that they would do anything that they could to help them out!

They were thrilled that everyone was on their side.

New Years continued, with some chatting but before long it was time to count down to the New Year.

"30 seconds to midnight." Finn shouted.

And then the countdown started.

10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Everyone shouted.

Logan pulled Rory into him, and kissed her hard. When Logan pulled out of the kiss, Rory was breathless.

"2019 is going to be a better year!" Logan said as he held his two girls.
