"Where were you, last night?" I teased my sister.
"Riaa! Stop embarrassing me," she snorted, turning red.
"I and Pansy had more fun, annoying you, when you were hiding it," I pouted.
"Oh! Pansy was on fire, last night," her eye widened, and I laughed.
"Theo likes her, doesn't he?" I asked, and she giggled, agreeing.
Suddenly, "I've heard, Draco has a secret girlfriend," she said.
"Oh!" I nodded, as a half smirk formed on my face.
She stared at me for a while, and I asked, "What?"
She smirked and went back to bed, wishing, "good night."
I put on my sweater, and went to the common room, once it was midnight.
I fell on the couch, and Draco made his way towards me.
"Shall we read?" he asked, and I nodded.
"Balarius Malfoy."
"Balarius Malfoy, a slytherin head boy, fell in love with Desdemonia Malfoy (nee Nott). They were both Healers, at St. Mungo's. They fancied eachother, for the service and beliefs. They had four children, who were Persephone Macnair, Edwarlinda Malfoy, Cyril Malfoy, and Medusa Malfoy.
"Medusa Malfoy."
"Medusa Malfoy, was youngest daughter of Balarius and Desdemonia Malfoy. She had dark hair, like her mother. A strong girl, and the most ambitious among her siblings. Her family arranged a marriage for her, when she was 16, with a fellow Ravenclaw. She refused to marry him, and rebelled against her father. Having no choice, she married him, and the boy was suspiciously, dead within three days of their marriage. Perhaps, the reason of his death, remained a secret. Medusa, then married her friend from the house of Black."
"That's one dangerous Lady," I looked at Draco, little aw-struck, and read further.
"Cyril Malfoy."
"A boy who carries his father's imprint, was just as sharp, but braver and bolder. He was sorted into Gryffindor." my eyes went wide, just as Draco's. "He was treated like an outcast, and was never fully accepted. He was very successful just as the other Malfoys, and left London to live as far as possible from his worst nightmares. Later, he married a muggleborn, of the same house."
"A Gryffindor," I smiled.
"I've never known someone with that name, surely I know the reason," he nodded.
"These stories are not as exciting as the ones before," I frowned, to which he stayed silent.
"I've always wanted to know about my mother's family." he said, curiously.
"Mum has another sister, Andromeda. She refuses to speak of her, you know," he slightly frowned.
"I hope it does," I smiled, cheerfully, and we went back to our dorms.
--------
I, and Drew could see Scarlet, sitting diagonally to us, at the Hufflepuff table.
"When are you asking her out?" I muttered, cutting my meat.
"I don't want to ruin our friendship, Ria," he sighed, sadly.
"Woah! Where has all your jerky confidence vanished, Drew?!"
"Come on, Ri!" he gave an unamused look.
"Okay, jokes apart. You are asking her Today! That awkwardness between you two, is giving me Dragon Pox!"
"But how?" his eyes widened.
"Well, you are a wizard! make magic," I snorted.
"Okay, fine, I'll try, don't murder me," he yelled, annoyed.
"Thank me later for the pep talk," I smirked, and started walking towards the door.
"Morning!" Scarlet made her way towards us.
"Morning," we replied.
"Good luck," I whispered, and he nodded.
"Scarlet," he called, to which she smiled and turned to face him.
"Mmm...I was wondering, if you..." he hesitated, to which my eyes rolled. I can control my mouth, it's the face that needs deliverance.
"What's wrong Drew?" she asked chuckling softly, holding his hand. My jaw dropped, and Drew was gobsmacked.
"Will you go on a date with me?" he asked, to which she nodded, blushing.
"Thank Merlin!" I sighed in relief.
"I've been waiting," Scarlet blushed, and I already started to feel like the third wheel, bless me.
I made a throat clearing sound, to remind them of my presence, and they both hugged me.
"You're welcome," I nodded, making them laugh. The begging of the day, was so pleasant, and we walked to the class together.
______
"Good luck, Ria," Scarlet hugged.
"Thanks, Scarlet," I smiled, warmly. Drew, and I made our way to the Quidditch try outs.
"We are far behind the Gryffindors, and other teams. The tryouts should've been earlier," Drew, frowned.
"I know," I sighed.
"Good luck," Drew fist bumped, as it was my first time, trying out for chaser. I felt nervous, but I believed I could do it. Daph, and Pansy, were watching us, and Daph yelled me luck. Blaise was grinning, and walked to my side.
"Ready to make me proud?" he winked.
"As always," I winked back.
I got onto my Nimbus 2001, and rose higher. I had 2 competitors, whom I successfully beat, and made it to the team. I was overjoyed and excited. Blaise, and Drew, were both equally happy. I turned around, and noticed Draco, who was already watching me. I grinned widely, to which he smiled back. His presence slipped my attention as I was so focused on the game. We went back, after Montague announced the practice schedules.
I washed myself up and changed into my sleep gown.
"I'm so glad for you, I've already sent her the letter," Daph hugged, and I smiled, warmly. I fell on my bed, tired, and soon drifted off to sleep.
