“Khal,”Ady ran to me while holding his tumbler. Kakatapos lang kasi ng training nila. I came by to check if he's okay, mukha namang okay siya.
“Saan ka pupunta?”he asked me while he’s still catching his breath.
“Last subject”I smiled.
“Tara,”hinawakan niya ang kamay ko at sabay kami naglakad papunta sa classroom ko.
“Let’s eat after class”he said while I’m busy reading my notes.
“Okay,”
“You have quizzes?”he asked me, I nodded.
“Kinakabahan ako baka wala akong masagot”I replied, still focusing on my notes.
“I know that you can do it”he replied.
Tumigil kami sa tapat ng classroom namin kasi hindi muna ako pumasok. Wala pa rin namang prof at saka I just want to be with him kahit nagrereview ako. He’s still holding my hands while I’m reading my notes.
Hindi siya nagsasalita at nakikita ko sa peripheral view ko na nakatingin siya sa akin, pinapanood niya ako magreview. Pinapabayaan ko lang siya kasi ayaw ko naman bumagsak sa subject na ito.
“Hey,”I looked at him.
“Hmmm?”
“Human cells are diploid”he said, tinuro niya ‘yung notes ko kung saan ako naguguluhan.
“Except for the germ cell, most of the normal human cell are diploid.”dugtong pa niya. Hindi naman ako nasabihan na natatandaan niya pa pala ang subject na ito.
“Okay…”I replied, I looked back to my notes.
“Therefore, they contain two copies of each chromosomes and each chromosomes contains genes that are alleles of the genes on the homologous chromosome”napangiti ako habang ineexplain niya sa akin ‘yung notes ko na hindi ko maintindihan.
I smiled at him. “Akala ko ba ayaw mo magtake ng MedTech?”
He smiled back. “That’s my favorite subject, Cytogenetics”
“Talaga?”naalala ko na magkaklase nga pala sila dati ni kuya.
He nodded. “Sa akin kumokopya ang kuya mo dati sa subject na ‘yan kapag may quiz kami”
We both laughed.
“Just don’t tell him. Baka isipin niya sinisiraan ko siya sa ‘yo”he chuckled.
“I guess that I’m lucky to have you in my life”I said, then shrugged.
He hugged me from my back. “We are blessed that we have each other’s back”
“Ady!”at may narinig ako na hindi ko nagugustuhan na boses ng babae, boses ni Katherine.
“What’s up?”Ady asked Katherine, I’m not looking at her.
Ady held my hand while I’m reading my notes, I guess that he did this para sabihin sa akin na huwag ako magselos.
“Can you help me with something?”Katherine asked. I rolled my eyes, pero hindi naman niya nakikita.
“With what?”Ady asked.
“With my project, naiwan ko kasi sa bahay and nasira na naman ‘yung kotse ko…”she said. I know that Ady looked at me, he squeezed my hand.
“Can I go with her?”he asked me.
Ano pa nga ba ang magagawa ko.
I sighed. “Okay lang”
