schlatt awoke from his peaceful nap to wilbur yelling at him to wake up. he groaned and slowly sat up. wilbur held out a hand for him to take and the other did, getting pulled up. the taller grabbed the smallers hand and pulled him away from his spot on his own grave.

wilbur dragged schlatt all the way to the drug van and let go of schlatts hand, climbing in. he beckoned the younger inside, seeing his hesitation. schlatt grumbled and reluctantly climbed inside the van. he caught a glimpse of his dried blood on the floor, but quickly looked away, ears drooping.

wilbur noticed and gave him a worried look. "hey, you okay?" he asked, gently. schlatt shook his head, pulling his knees to his chest. "well, whats wrong?" he tried, once more. schlatt sighed and answered. "this is where i died, wil." the said mans fins went down and his eyes widened, mouth agape. he quickly stood and pulled schlatt up, pulling the shorter into a hug. "im sorry, schlatt. i didnt know..!" he exclaimed. schlatt sighed, and pulled away. "its fine, lets just talk somewhere else?" wilbur nodded and, taking his hand, walked out of the van.

they wandered around for a bit before schlatt had an idea. "maybe we could sit on top of the podium? we can get a good view up there." wilburs fins perked up and he nodded, grinning almost immediately after those words left schlatts mouth. schlatt and wilbur intertwined hands and ran over to the podium, hopping happily up the steps. they reached the podium and walked to a vine that was dangling on a beam.

schlatt walked up to it and pulled, making sure it was stable. the horned boy turned to wilbur and nodded. "it'll hold, probably." wilbur giggled at that and gestured for the shorter to go first. schlatt rolled his eyes and swiftly climbed up the vines, ear flicking. when he reached the top, he beckoned wilbur to come up quickly. "be patient, schlatt!" the older exclaimed, grinning. he rolled his sleeves up and leaped onto the vine, now almost to the top without giving any effort. schlatt narrowed his eyes and scoffed, moving away from that edge and scooting to the front edge. wilbur snickered and pushed himself onto the roof, and walked over to schlatt.

schlatt sighed as wilbur sat next to him, careful to not fall. they sat in a comfortable silence for a couple seconds, before wilbur leaned on schlatts shoulder, having to move himself a bit since he was so tall. the ram didnt mind, even leaning closer to the older. "this is nice, dont you think? the whole dead thing, i mean." the taller asked, smiling. schlatt pondered the question for a bit. he shrugged, humming. "i dont know how to feel about it." wilbur nodded.

the younger sighed, letting his eyes drift to the sky. it was early. the sun was still beginning to rise. wilbur really mustve wanted to watch the sunrise. "hey, you only woke me up to watch the sunrise, right?" schlatt asked, calmly. wilbur chuckled and nodded. "yeah, its very pretty, though, right?" he asked, sitting back up. schlatt nodded, without hesitation. he brought his legs up and hugged his knees to his chest, rolling his sleeves down. "dont you think its kind of chilly, though?" wilbur shrugged. "i think its fine. we can go inside if you want."

the shorter shook his head. "no, its fine." wilbur hummed and it was quiet again. neither of them minded, in fact, they enjoyed the silence, schlatt more than wilbur. his fluffy tail twitched and he closed his eyes. wilbur glanced down at schlatt and giggled under his breath. he looked back to the sun, and sighed. "we need to do this more often." he whispered. in his peripheral vision he saw schlatt nod.

schlatt yawned and let his legs go, leaning back. wilbur watched him and smiled, joining him. "we should stargaze sometime." schlatt mumbled, becoming tired again. wilbur hummed as an answer, and closed his eyes with schlatt.

when they both woke up, it was from the sun being all the way up, but also from quackity and fundy waking them up. "what the hell are you guys doing up here?" the winged man asked, fixing his beanie. wilbur sat up, as did schlatt, and stretched. "huh?" quackity groaned and glanced at fundy, pointing at wilbur. fundy nodded and walked closer to his dad and grabbed his arm as quackity pulled schlatt up forcefully. wilbur grunted when he was pulled up by the shorter. "why do we have to get up? it was nice here." schlatt asked, rubbing his eyes.

quackity shook his head, wings fluttering. "you were both snoring and we are rennovating the podium today." wilbur sighed and took schlatts hand. "okay then, lets go, schlatt!" and they walked off. quackity gave fundy a confused look and he shrugged.

schlatt took back control and started dragging wilbur to their graves that were stood together. wilbur was confused at first but when he noticed the directions they were taking, he knew. "do you like the graves?" he asked, rolling down one of his sleeves. schlatt only nodded and let go of the olders hand when he reached his own grave. the two plopped down on the dirt and laid against the stone. they looked at each other and smiled, then schlatt closed his eyes and wilbur looked at schlatts 'x' over his left pec. he sighed, frowning. but, he decided not to think about it and drifted to sleep.
