A/N: Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays!!!

Nya POV

I glared at my parents as they continued to be silent. In fact, the whole room was deathly silent. Kai finally seemed to get what was going on, and he glared at our parents with me. Skylor excused herself some time ago, claiming that her Dad wasn't going to appreciate her being out super late. It was just us now.

"Nya. Please try to understand." Maya finally said as she took a step towards me, only for me to take a step away.

"Why is everyone saying that? I will not understand! That was my boyfriend you agreed to be kidnapped. Do you understand how much he means to me?" I said as I threw my hands up in the air and shouted.

"What the hell were you thinking?" Kai asked as he shook his head in disbelief.

"Like you have any room to talk." Ray scoffed as he rolled his eyes.

"And what is that supposed to mean?" Kai asked defensively as he narrowed his eyes.

"You have met you. I don't need to explain myself to a toddler." Ray said as he looked at Kai right in the eye.

"Listen up you asshole---" Kai started to say but I cut him off  by carefully elbowing him in the side to be mindful of his injuries.

"Can you guys try to be mature adults?" I asked as I looked between the two of them with a frown.

"He started it." Kai whined like a child but I understood that my brother was going to shut up for now.

I looked between the two as I thought about how to phrase what I wanted. There was no way that they were leaving the room without answers. They were going to help me bring my boyfriend back home to me, and I was going to make sure of that. I didn't care about what price this information was going to cost me because all that mattered was that he came back to me. I  placed my fingers on the bridge of my nose as I tried to think coherently. I wasn't a little girl anymore. I was done playing nice.

"Someone better start talking because I am this close to losing it. Trust me when I say that you do not want to see me lose it." I said as I clenched my fists together to try and hold it together.

Truth be told, I wasn't against the idea of blasting my parents with my Elemental Powers. They appeared to need some sort of sense knocked into them if they thought that knowing a kidnapping was going to happen and not report it was the right thing to do. There was no point in trying to hide how much she was losing patients with anything related to her parents withholding information from her. I thought that I could trust them with everything. What happened to that trust that Wu must have placed in them all of those years ago?

"You heard my Sister. Start talking. Jay is family, and family looks out for one another. You should know that better than anyone since that is what you have been preaching literally all of our lives. It would be hypocritical if you didn't follow your own advice." Kai said as he copied my stance and crossed his arms together.

"Look. It is about something that happened a year ago. It was between you guys and him, and we picked the children that we would want protecting." Maya said in a clear voice as she tried to get them to see her point of view.

"No. Everyone deserves to be protected. The way that I see it, you guys didn't do everything you could. You could have protected him. You didn't protect him, but you could have." Kai said for me as he looked at them with hatred laced in his eyes.

"You will understand when you have children, Kai." Ray said as he looked at his Son.

"Is that why you guys were so nice to him? Was it to build his trust in you? Was it because once you learned who he was, you knew what was going to happen to him months later?" I asked, my voice emotionless.
