Jungwoo wasn't quite sure how he ended up in this position, but he didn't necessarily want to change any aspect of it. He was in Doyoung's house, laying on Doyoung's bed, while Doyoung was asleep on his chest. His whole world was Doyoung centered at that very moment, and he didn't hate it.
It was a very calm moment in his otherwise chaotic life. There was just something so pleasing about the simplicity of the intimacy shared between them. Something so small meant so much to him. Two months ago Jungwoo could barely think about the word gay without completely shutting down, but now there was with another man asleep on him. Instead of trying to fight it, he just wanted them to stay that way.
Looking down at the elder's face, Jungwoo couldn't help but smile. He looked so peaceful...which was actually quite ironic because he had been yelling about his day less than an hour before then.
If Jungwoo's feelings weren't clear to him before, they surely were now. Just the sight of Doyoung frowning made him contemplate whether he really needed to go to the student council meeting or not. Of course the elder made him go to the meeting, quickly dismissing his feelings. But regardless of how much he claimed to be okay, Jungwoo's saw right through it and made him talk. Him talking quickly turned into him screaming about somebody who made him angry until he finally just fell asleep.
No matter how weird or potentially creepy this would make him seem, he liked listening to Doyoung. It didn't matter what he was talking about or how angry he was, his voice always drew Jungwoo in.
"Doyoung, I like you," Jungwoo whispered out loud, secretly hoping it would end up like some cliche movie where the elder would open his eyes and say the same words back to him. "I really like you and It's scary...but you make things seem less scary. I wish I could say this to you when you were awake, but once again, I'm scared. Scared of what? I don't really know...you already told me you liked me but I'm still terrified you don't actually want me. You can find a different boy who's actually out who you can be happy with. Why would you choose me?" A small sigh fell from his lips as he got no response, but he wasn't too sure why he was expecting one.
There were a few minutes of comfortable silence before Dahye peaked her head past the door frame. She stood on her tippy toes to see her brother before letting out a dramatic sigh. "Me and my mommy just got back from the store and we gots Doyoung his favorite candy but he's sleeping."
Jungwoo smiled at the girl, "He had a bad day so l let him go to sleep, sorry."
"I wanna take a nap too," She said softly before walking up to the bed and climbing up onto it with much struggle. After quickly kissing Doyoung's cheek, she snuggled up on Jungwoo's free side, using him as a pillow too.
✨✨✨
Doyoung woke up very confused to a flash of light shining in his eyes. He looked up to see his mom standing in the doorway with a camera pointed at him. "Mom what are yo—"
"Shh don't wake them up."
Them? Turning to figure out what she meant, Doyoung couldn't stop the smile forming on face when he saw his sister cuddled up to Jungwoo. "She always takes so long to work up to touching people..."
The woman nodded, "Dahye likes him, so do I, so does mama...and so do you."
"I...I don't know if he likes me," Doyoung said quietly, "I don't want to rush things."
"Doyoung, he's asleep in your bed and he's over every other day. I don't know if it's possible for him not to like you." The woman replied softly. She walked over to the side of the bed and gently picked Dahye up, "maybe you should wake him, see if he wants to stay the night."
Moving so he could look at the younger, Doyoung smiled once again. He could hardly remember why he was so upset earlier because all he could focus on was the boy in front of him. He reached forward to gently push the hair off of his forehead before whispering, "I'm going to steal a kiss." Gently pressing his lips onto Jungwoo's forehead, he could help but feel all giddy inside. There was a chance that one day he might be able to call Jungwoo his, and that was so exhilarating. The two seemed to be on the same page, but neither of them knew that.
"Jungwoo..." Doyoung said quietly, trying to figure out how to wake him up. He shook the boy's shoulder slightly which elicited a small whine. "Jungwoo, wake up."
Jungwoo's eyes fluttered open before quickly closing once again at the brightness of the room. After a few seconds of arguing with his body, he groggily sat up and flashed a sleepy smile. "'m sorry, I didn't mean to fall asleep."
A small laugh slipped out of Doyoung, "It's fine, you didn't have to stay awake. Oh uh my mom wanted to know if you're staying the night again?"
Although reluctant, Jungwoo shook his head, "That's tempting, but I really should go home, my mom keeps asking where I've been staying...and I don't know what to tell her."
"Just say you're staying with a friend." The elder responded quietly. Clearing his throat upon feeling the slight tension building in the room, he added, "Why don't you stay for dinner and then I can take you home?"
"Okay."
