"Jungwoo, hun, I gotta talk to you." Mrs. Ahn said as she grabbed Jungwoo by his backpack before he could leave the art room.
His heart dropped because he already knew what this was going to be about. "Ok," he whispered, taking a seat at one of the tables.
The woman sat down across from him and flashed a sweet smile. "You haven't turned in three of the five art projects we've done. I've had you for the past two years and you've never skipped an assignment. What's going on?"
"Mrs. Ahn I'm having a really hard with the projects about myself. I just...don't have any inspiration for them." Jungwoo explained, his eyes fixed on the table.
"Because I know you're a good student, I'm giving you two weeks to complete your missing projects. After that there's nothing I can do for your grade," The woman explained before getting up and writing Jungwoo a late pass.
✨✨✨
A nervous breath fell from Jungwoo's lips after he pulled on the sweater Ten picked out for his date. He fidgeted with the sleeves for a few seconds, trying to pull himself together, "You're fine Jungwoo, it's just a date."
Looking up at his reflection, he couldn't help but smile. It was a little more casual than his normal school attire, and he loved the way it looked on him. He was wearing light wash blue jeans that gently flared outwards at the ends paired with a black V neck sweater tucked into his pants.
He spent a few minutes perfecting his hair and picking the right cologne before he was ready to go. "Mom, do I look good enough for a date?" Jungwoo asked shyly as he walked into the living room where his mom was reading a magazine.
She looked up at him and instantly smiled at the sight, "You look great, honey. Soyeon's a really lucky girl."
A slight blush tinted the boys cheeks while he listened to his mother. "Well I guess I should get going..."
"Have fun, but make sure to be home by midnight," She said soft but sternly before returning to her magazine.
✨✨✨
"What a little cutie," Soyeon said as she climbed into the passenger seat of her boyfriends car. "You look very handsome."
Glancing over at her, Jungwoo's eyes widened and he choked on virtually nothing. She was wearing an above the knee plaid skirt with a button down shirt—and Jungwoo had no idea why the thing had buttons at all if she wasn't going to use them—but she looked nice.
"Y—You look...I like that skirt."
She let out a small laugh, "Thank you."
The drive was filled with random conversations about their days and a lot of laughter until they arrived at the drive in. They were showing a movie Soyeon had been dying to see, so naturally that's where she wanted their first date to be.
After paying for the tickets, they had to find a parking spot. Although it took what felt like hours, they finally found one with a good view of the screen.
The first hour of the movie was watched in silence, because what else were you supposed to do at a drive in besides watching a movie? Not knowing about her true motives involved in this date, Jungwoo let out a surprised squeak when Soyeon climbed over the center council and landed in his lap.
He looked down at her with wide eyes, "I...I uh are y—you cold or something?"
"No..." She started, a hand slowly wandering up the length of his neck until it landed on the side of his face, "It was getting a little boring on my side."
A slight frown formed on his, "We Can go somewhere else if you're not having fun."
The girl couldn't help but laugh, "Jungwoo, I'm trying to tell you I want to make out with you without actually saying that."
"Oh...I'm sorry, I'm kinda slow."
She leaned in closer to him so their faces were only inches apart, "You're okay with this, right?" The only response she got was a shaky mhm before she finally closed the gap between them.
Sticky, Jungwoo thought when he felt her lipgloss transfer onto his own lips, causing the kiss to messier than he would've wanted. He pushed the thought down and focused on kissing back.
This continued for a few minutes until Soyeon pulled away only to put her lips onto Jungwoo's neck. He tensed up, a bit uncomfortable with the new feeling, he didn't hate it...but he didn't know how to feel. It felt weird doing this out in the open where anybody could walk past and see.
Closing his eyes, Jungwoo leaned his head back again the head rest and relaxed into the feeling. But it didn't take long for Soyeon to add another foreign feeling to make the boy uncomfortable. He hands pulled the sweater out from the waistband of his jeans and her cold hands found their way onto his bare stomach.
He jerked forward in a moment of panic, almost hitting their heads together. "Soyeon...I—I..."
"Is that too much? You can tell me if you don't want to do anything else."
There were a couple seconds of silence as he squeezed his eyes shut, just thinking about everything that was happening in that moment. "I—I don't think I want to stop I'm j—just new to this...?"
A small smile formed on her face, "I can take the lead if you want? If you don't like what's happening just tell me to stop."
"B—But...I thought I w—was supposed to—"
"Jungwoo what happens right now is between us, if I'm on top of you nobody's going to know. You don't have to be ashamed." Soyeon said softly before leaning down and connecting their lips once again.
There was a strange sense of reassurance from her words, he was okay with what was happening. Even if it was in his car, probably not the most ideal place for things like this, Jungwoo wanted it to happen just as much a Soyeon did.
