*two weeks later*
A small smile formed on Doyoung's lips as he peaked Into the student council room and saw Jungwoo fully engrossed in filling out some form. He lingered in the doorway a little longer, not wanting to disturb the boy's peaceful state.
Throwing the pen in his hands across the room, a mix between a scream and a sigh came out of Jungwoo. Well then, Doyoung thought, his eyebrows raising in amusement at what felt like was the first expression of anger he'd witnessed from the younger. "That bad huh?"
Jungwoo jumped at the noise, having thought he was completely alone. "Sorry..." he started as he got up to go retrieve the pen from to other side of the room, "I didn't know you were there."
"So why're throwing innocent pens, darlin'?" Doyoung asked before sliding into the seat next to Jungwoo's.
"I didn't know being class president meant I would also have to be a secretary—why does Ms. Kim need a weekly survey from me!" The younger yelled, sitting back down and pulling the paper towards himself.
Doyoung's head tilted to the side and he let out a scoff. Quickly plucking the pen out of the boys hand, he looked at the boy like he was crazy, "I think you should take a break."
"Thanks for the input," Jungwoo muttered, flashing a fake smile then taking his pen back.
Leaning back into his seat, Doyoung remained unaffected by his words. "Y'know, Dahye can be very mean to me sometimes, You having an attitude isn't going to make me leave. I have a lot of practice dealing with brats."
A bitter laugh erupted from the younger as he slammed his pen down onto the table, "Don't call me a brat!"
"Then don't act like one." Doyoung responded simply.
"You can't just...just come in here and act like you can tell me what to do! I'm doing work—what are you doing huh? Go back to your friends and leave me alone!"
"Are you done?"
Jungwoo looked at the elder in disbelief, he mustered up his harshest words and still got no reaction. "Yes." He mumbled, crossing his arms in front of his chest. "I'm done."
"I came here because Minnie wants to see you and she said I'm the only person you talk to anymore. Why aren't you talking to Minnie?"
Letting out another sigh, the younger shrugged, "They probably all hate me. I led Soyeon on and hurt her feelings."
Doyoung scooted his chair closer to him and put his arm around Jungwoo. "Soyeon understands that you didn't do that on purpose, you thought you liked her, you didn't, that's okay. You're their friend too and they miss you."
"I just want to go home." He whined, resting his head on Doyoung's shoulder.
Leaning to rest his head on the younger's, Doyoung couldn't help but smile. He loved moments like this with Jungwoo, moments where the boy just did things without overthinking. Maybe Doyoung was feeling especially daring that day because he reached over and gently grabbed one of Jungwoo's hands, and intertwined their fingers. "Let's get you home then."
"Do you..." Jungwoo started, his voice trailing off as he begun to second guess...the whole situation in general. "You still like me, right?"
Glancing down at their hands and remembering the position they were in, Doyoung tried to hold back his laughter for the sake of the younger's self esteem. "Yes, I still like you, Jungwoo."
He felt the boy deflate slightly, letting out the breath he was hold in. "Would you maybe want to come over? You would be meeting my mom...but I can't tell her that we're...I don't know what this is but we can't tell her—but I get it if you don't want to do that."
Doyoung slipped an arm out from between them and wrapped it around Jungwoo's waist. "You want me to meet your mom?"
"I can hear you smiling, Doyoung." Jungwoo deadpanned. "I've already met your family so I don't see why it would be a problem."
"Then let's go."
✨✨✨
"Mom?"
Ms. Kim peaked around the corner, her eyebrows knit together in confusion, "Why are you home so early? Are you okay?"
"I'm fine, I just wanted to come home—anyway this is Doyoung...he's my Doyoung." Jungwoo blabbered nervously.
Doyoung pressed his lips together to stop the laugh that wanted to come out. He quickly bowed and smiled at the woman, "I'm his Doyoung, it's nice to meet you, ma'am."
The woman just stood there for a second, staring at of them in disgust. Her eyes swept over Doyoung and she shook her head, "You are so skinny—I need to feed you."
"Oh it's fine, I don't want to trouble you—"
"I've already got rice ready, dear."
✨✨✨
"I don't think I've ever eaten that much in my life," Doyoung grumbled as he laid down on Jungwoo's bed
A small laugh slipped out of Jungwoo as he climbed onto his bed next to Doyoung. He placed a hand on the elder's tummy and rubbed it gently through the material of his shirt, "I'm sorry, my mom shows love through food."
"Jungwoo, let's have a baby," he mumbled, cuddling up to the boy.
"I'm sorry but I'm a man," The younger responded, shifting a bit so Doyoung could rest his head on his chest.
"Fine. No baby." Reaching over to grab one of the elder's hands, he brought it back to his stomach and placed his own hand on top. "I want to go to sleep."
Smiling at the boy, Jungwoo brought up his free hand to play with Doyoung's soft hair. "You can stay here tonight if you want?" He proposed.
The elder let out a small hum as he took a few seconds to think about it, "As much as I don't want to get up, you said you don't your mom to know about this. Us falling asleep like the isn't very friendly."
A small pout formed on Jungwoo's lips before he pulled his hand away from the elder's hair and brought it back to his side, "There. Much friendlier."
"Awh, do you want me to stay, Darlin'?"
The pout on his lips only deepened upon hearing that, but regardless of how embarrassed he was becoming he still let out a small, "Yes."
Doyoung had no idea what had jungwoo so cuddly that day, but he never wanted to let him go. "I'm sorry but I'm only listening to what you told me."
Seeing the elder sit up, Jungwoo panicked and grabbed his wrist, yanking the boy back down. "Forget what I told you," he said so fast that Doyoung almost couldn't understand him. "I wake up before my mom in the morning, it'll be fine. She won't see anything."
"And you'd be one hundred percent okay with the chance that she could see us?" Sitting up once again, Doyoung placed a hand on the side of Jungwoo's face and smiled at him. "You're going to see me tomorrow at school, no need to risk anything."
At this point, Jungwoo was on the verge of tears because Doyoung was so adamant about not staying with him. Maybe he didn't still like him. "Fine," he mumbled, pushing Doyoung's hand off his face, "Just forget I asked. I'll see you tomorrow."
"Hey, it's not like that, I didn—"
"You obviously don't want to be here, so just go."
Taking a step forward without much thought, Doyoung placed his hands on either side of the younger's face before leaning down and kissing him. It didn't last long, Doyoung pulling away because he realized he probably shouldn't have done that without asking first. "I want to stay here with you, but I don't want you to be outed just because I was too lazy to drive myself home."
"Doyoung I want to be your boyfriend."
