"Doyoung I want to be your boyfriend."
Jungwoo's eyes widened the second the words slipped past his lips. "Wow it's late you should probably get home before it gets dark!" He said without much thought before getting up and pushing Doyoung's towards his bedroom door.
Putting an arm out to stop himself from getting pushed any further, Doyoung turned back to look at the boy with a smirk. "You want to be my boyfriend?" He asked as he wiggled his eyebrows, only embarrassing the younger further.
"Oh my god just go home." Jungwoo grumbled before opening the door and forcing him out.
Ms. Kim looked up from her spot on the couch in confusion as her son dragged his laughing friend towards their front door. "Jungwoo?"
"He wants to go home," the boy said quickly, having to use all of his body strength to get Doyoung through the living room.
The elder let out a small gasp, bringing both of them to a halt, "You have a really lovely house ma'am, thank you for feeding me."
"Y'know it's dark, you should just stay the night, honey," the woman said softly.
"Thank you ma'am, but I really don't want to impose." Doyoung responded quickly.
Her eyebrows knit together in confusion, "You wouldn't be. You can sleep in Jungwoo's room."
"Mom!"
"I don't want to hear it! Your very handsome friend can stay the night if he wants to!"
Trying his best to hold in his laughter, Doyoung turned to the boy next to him, "Would that be okay with you, Jungwoo? We do have to talk about...homework still."
Jungwoo crossed his arms in front of his chest and let out a huff. "Sure. I don't care."
"Well I don't have to work tomorrow, and you have a ride to school...I'm going to sleep in. Goodnight I love you!" The woman said before getting up and kissing her son's cheek, making the boy whine.
The second she was out of the room, doyoung walked towards the boy and pinched both of his cheeks, "Such a cutie!"
"Ew leave alone you creep." Jungwoo pouted, pushing the elder's hands away from his face. "You should call your mom so she knows you're spending the night here. I'm going to go shower," He said quietly before walking out of the living room.
✨✨✨
While Jungwoo was in the shower, Doyoung took it upon himself to snoop around the younger's room. Although it was just your average teenage room, Doyoung knew he could find something interesting if he looked hard enough. Even though he tried his hardest, he ended up empty handed. He decided on picking a random poetry book from the younger's bookshelf.
A small smile formed on Doyoung's lips as he opened the old book and saw that it was filled with all sorts of notes. Every little thing about Jungwoo was just so perfect.
After a few minutes of reading, the door opened to reveal a freshly showered and very shirtless Jungwoo. Doyoung smirked, putting the book down so he could look at the younger's surprisingly defined torso, "I didn't know you were this comfortable with me."
The boy almost jumped out of his skin at the sudden voice, some how forgetting Doyoung was still at his house. "Oh my god don't look! Cover your eyes!" He shrieked.
Doyoung listened to him but still muttered, "you're no fun."
"Ok you can look now." Jungwoo said softly as he sat down on the edge of his bed.
"So—"
"Wow I'm so tired," he said quickly, cutting the elder off. As fast as he could, he laid down and cuddled up to Doyoung's side, letting out fake snores.
A sigh came out of Doyoung's as he wrapped his arms around the younger and pulled him closer. "I just want to talk about what you said."
"I don't."
Running his fingers through Jungwoo's slightly damp hair, he frowned. "Why not, Darlin'? You don't have to be scared."
"You like me but you don't like me enough for that, right? What's to talk about?" Jungwoo whispered before shoving his face into Doyoung's chest.
"Uh not at all, but good try." The elder responded, quite confused by the scenario Jungwoo had created in his mind. "I do want to be your boyfriend, but I want to make sure you're actually ready for something like that."
"I think that I'm ready. We've been doing whatever this weird romantic friendship thing is for months and I'm...I'm ready to put a label on it." Jungwoo explained.
Although Doyoung was more than ecstatic at this development, he couldn't help but worry that the boy was jumping ahead of his feelings. "You do know being my boyfriend would mean that we're dating, right? Like couple like holding hands and kissing couple."
A small giggle came out of the younger as he nodded, "Doyoung, were holding hands and kissing as friends right now. I want to do it as boyfriends." Hoisting himself up, Jungwoo's leaned against Doyoung's chest so he could look at him, "You'll still have to keep me a secret...but we'll know, and that's all that matters to me."
"Kim Jungwoo wants to be my boyfriend." Doyoung blurted out like an over excited school girl who just received a mere glance from her crush.
Jungwoo's cheeks turned a dark shade of red but he still nodded, "Yeah...so Kim Doyoung will you be my boyfriend?"
"Wait I wanted to ask you."
"Answer the fucking question before I change my mind."
"Yes, I'll be your boyfriend," Doyoung answered softly.
Not wanting to waste any precious time, Jungwoo leaned forward and pressed their lips together with unnecessary force. "That was our first kiss as boyfriends," he whispered as he pulled away.
"Mhm...do it again."
"No. Go to sleep."
An excited smile spread across Doyoung's face before he pecked Jungwoo's cheek, "Goodnight, boyfriend."
