"I'm just saying that Jungwoo was a sweet little boy until he met your dumb mysterious bad boy wannabe self."

Doyoung looked up at his mother, offended by her words. "I am a mysterious bad boy—not a wannabe!"

"First of all you're literally sitting on the floor having a tea party with your little sister," Jina interjected as she reached over to fill Dahye's plastic pink cup with tea.

"Uhm tea does not define my manliness," he sassed, holding his own cup out for a refill.

After taking a long sip of air, Jina raised an eyebrow, "What about your hello kitty phase? Is that manly?"

"That was for a month in seventh grade—okay!? We can all forget about it now!" Doyoung yelled, causing Dahye to scrunch up, bringing her hands to cover her little ears. He placed a gentle hand on the side of her arm, "I didn't mean to yell," he said softly, "I'm sorry."

She looked up at him with watery eyes, shaking her head before pushing the teacups off the table and running out of the room.

"Ah shit..." he whispered, feeling his heart crumbling with guilt, "m—mom I didn't mean to—I'm sorry."

The woman walked over to her son and pulled him up off the floor. "You're okay, honey, I know you didn't mean it. It was an accident," she soothed, knowing how harsh Doyoung was on himself when he upset his little sister.

He wiped at his own watery eyes before nodding, "it was an accident."

"You should go check up on her," she suggested.

Doyoung peaked into his sisters room and saw the little girl sitting on her bed, staring at the wall. "Dahye?" He said hesitantly.

"You're a meanie," she muttered.

"I really didn't mean to upset you. I didn't think before I raised my voice." Although he tried to reason with the girl, she wouldn't budge, not even sparing him a glance.

Her eyebrows scrunched together before she quietly said, "I'm not talking to you. I want to talk to Jungwoo."

"I don't know what he's doing right now, but I'll go call him, okay?" A response really shouldn't have been anticipated, but it still made Doyoung's heart sink when he was ignored yet again.

✨✨✨

"Hi," Jungwoo said softly when Doyoung opened his front door. He didn't receive a greeting back before he was yanked into the house by his boyfriend.

"It's all my fault Jungwoo. I yelled and I shouldn't have yelled I didn't even think—and now she won't talk to me and she only wants to talk to you an—"

"Slow down," he urged gently, not knowing what was going on at all, "Who's not talking to you?"

Doyoung took a shallow breath before mumbling, "Dahye. She wants to talk to you...not me."

"Oh my sweet stressed out baby, it's going to be okay. I'll go talk to her and see what's wrong then I'll come take care of you."

The elder's bottom lip wobbled at the pet name, still feeling overwhelmingly guilty about the whole situation. The tether that was holding the tears back snapped when his boyfriend pressed a comforting kiss to the center of his forehead.

"You go ahead, I'll deal with this," Doyoung's mom said to Jungwoo as she pulled her sobbing son into her arms.

Making his way down the hall, Jungwoo stopped in front of the door he remembered to be as Dahye's. He softly knocked on the door, pushing it open slowly.

Upon seeing him, Dahye jumped off her bed and ran over to hug him. He picked her up and walked them back over to sit on her bed. "What seems to be the problem? Why are you not talking to your brother?"

She crossed her arms over her chest and huffed, "he just yelled and yelled at me and I didn't do nothing wrong. He was loud and my ears don't like that."

"Hmm..." Jungwoo's started, "I don't think he was yelling at you. Sometimes when I get upset, I have to yell to let all that upset get out, I think that's how it works for Doyoung too."

"He only did all the yelling because he was very sad and he needed to gets it out?" She asked quietly, her head tilting to the side.

He nodded, a small smile forming on his lips, "he's very upset right now because he feels bad for all that yelling. He really didn't mean to make you sad at all, Dahye."

"Oh no—he's got upset?" She whispered, quickly shaking her head, "we've got to go make it all better, Woo." Quickly jumping off the bed, she grabbed Jungwoo's hand and pulled him out to the living room where her brother and mom were sitting together.

"I'm sorry for being a meanie, Youngie. I still loves you so much," She said quietly.

Doyoung lifted his head, and sent the girl a small smile, "I'm sorry too."

She climbed onto the couch and into her brothers lap, "if you've still got all that upset, you can be loud again. I don't want you to be sad."

"Y'know, I think I'm okay now, Dahye. I'm not sad because you don't thing I'm a meanie anymore," Doyoung responded.

✨✨✨

"Why were you even yelling in the first place?" Jungwoo asked from Doyoung's bed where he was laying on his stomach, watching the elder as he cleaned up his room.

"Jina brought up my hello kitty phase."

"Your what?"

He let out an embarrassed laugh, "I took being gay a little too seriously in middle school."

"Hello kitty's cute, I get it."

Finally deeming his living space clean, Doyoung let out a content sigh, his eyes sweeping across the now uncluttered room. He grabbed one of his favorite poetry books before joining the boy on his bed. "We're always inside...we should actually do something outside once in awhile."

"Ew why?" Jungwoo whispered before pushing himself up into a sitting position. He reached over and pushed the curtain open, "All better."

"Hmm...I can bring you to the pier tomorrow."

His head cocked to the side, "I didn't know we were hanging out tomorrow."

A small pout formed on the elder's lips. "What? You don't want to?" He questioned.

Jungwoo leaned forward to quickly peck the boy's lips before responding. "I do, but I'm just worried that my mom...knows."

"We don't have to do anything tomorrow if you don't want to," he reassured gently. "But while you're here...you should read to me."

The younger couldn't help but smile as he watched Doyoung's excitedly raise the poetry book. He took the book into his own hands and flipped to a random page.
