A content sigh fell from Jungwoo's lips as he tightened his arms around Doyoung's torso. Just like every other night, Doyoung gave the younger a ride, but tonight it wasn't a ride home. Jungwoo rested his head in between the elder's shoulder blades while he watched the sunset, he had no idea where they were going, but his mind finally felt decluttered.
The two had a nice talk about why Jungwoo was so upset—well it was mostly him yelling at Doyoung—but it brought a sense of peace over him. He couldn't spend the rest of his life worrying about what might happen in the future because then he would miss everything that was actually happening in the present.
After awhile of driving, Doyoung finally pulled into the familiar parking lot in front of the pier. Climbing off the bike, Doyoung turned to the younger with a smile. He pulled he helmet off of him and ruffled the boys hair, "Feeling any better?"
Jungwoo shrugged, "I think I'm okay now."
"Good." He said quietly before grabbing Jungwoo's hands and pulling him off of the bike.
A small smile formed on the younger's face as they walked towards the pier. The beach was completely empty, which made sense because nobody really went to swim in the middle of the night. But the way water reflected the moonlight was so alluring, he would get if people did.
Any lingering thoughts were drawn out by the sound of the waves crashing onto shore. He glanced over at Doyoung, who was also seemingly captivated by the water. "Doyoung, can I..."
The elder looked back at him, his eyebrows knitting together slightly, "Hm?"
"Can I..." Jungwoo's voice trailed off once again as he looked down at his feet, suddenly embarrassed, "Never mind, sorry."
"What is it?" Doyoung pried in the gentlest way possible. "You can ask me."
Pressing his lips together, Jungwoo shook his head, "It's stupid."
"I'm sure it's not."
The younger frowned slightly as he pondered if he should just go for it. "I just wanted..." once again, he paused, not being able to finish his sentence. "I want to...to..." Instead of finishing verbally, he reached forwards and gently intertwined their fingers, "That."
Doyoung gave the boy a reassuring smile, before squeezing his hand slightly. He knew that no matter how insignificant it seemed on the outside, it was a really big step for Jungwoo.
✨✨✨
"I assume I'm taking you home?" Doyoung asked as he climbed onto his motorcycle.
A small pout formed on Jungwoo's face when he heard that. "I don't want you to leave," he mumbled. "But I guess."
