Ty's POV:
It's been a week. Annie still hasn't woken up. The doctors say she will any day now but I don't know.

I really miss her. I didn't see much of her before, but I still miss the small glimpses of her through my school days.

I miss seeing her in the hallway at school. I miss seeing her laughing with Simon and Kyle. I miss seeing her fiddling with her camera before school.

I just miss Annie.

"Ty, hurry up!" Kyle yells from in front of me.

"We have to get to school some time today!"

"Coming." I grumble, running to catch up to him.

"Another day of people asking how she is." Kyle sighs.

I haven't thought too much about how hard this would be for Kyle. Annie and him are best friends, they are always together.

I haven't had time to think about anything other than Annie and my own pain.

"She'll pull through Kyle. I know she will. The doctors said it's gonna be any day now." I try to comfort him.

I already know what Annie would say if she were here with us: "She's in a coma, not about to give birth."

Instead of Annie's voice I hear Kyle awnser, "I know. Thanks."

As soon as we arrive at school I can hear people gossiping about Annie. "I heard from Jessica that someone tried to murder her."

"Hey Kyle, Ty." Simon Spry says nervously, coming up to us as we walk inside.

"How is she?"

"She's gonna wake up any day now." Kyle reassures, both Simon and himself.

"Thanks guys. Keep me posted." Simon walks off while I stop at Kyle's locker.

"Good luck solider." Kyle salutes me.

"Bye weirdo." I roll my eyes and walk off to class.

"Hey dude!" I hear a sarcastic voice behind me say as I walk inside the gym. Jackson. And today had started out as a good day.

"What do you want Jack ass?" I ask.

"Creative, Townsend. You should join the creative writing club. They meet after school every Tuesday." Jackson says as we walk over to the benches.

"Again, what do you want?" I ask, tired of his games.

"I just want to know how Annie is." Jackson's tone suddenly serious.

"She's fine." I snarl, suddenly angry to hear him bring her up.

"So has she woken up yet?" He asks.

"Not yet. Any day now." I grumble, looking around for Luke or Gabe so I have an excuse to walk away.

Actually, to hell with excuses.

"Ok, well, tell me when she wakes up." He says, as I try to walk away.

"Why do you care so much?" I snap, walking back towards him.

"Just tell me when she wakes up, please?" Jackson asks.

"Fine." I roll my eyes, spotting Gabe walking over to me.

"Thanks." He smiles lightly, walking off to his friends.

"What did he want?" Gabe asks confused.

"To know about Annie." I respond.

"Why does he care? Do you think he likes her?" Gabe asks.

"I don't know. Possibly." I sigh as we watch him walk over to his friends.

After another four people asking about Annie, I've had enough. I need her to be here beside me, helping calm me down and deflect all the questions.

"Hey, Ty?" I hear a voice ask behind me as I wait at Kyle's locker.

"Yeah?" I reply, spinning around to see Cece.

"I just wanted to know how Annie is? Has she woken up, yet?" Cece asks, as students file out of their classrooms, excited for the weekend.

That puts me over the edge. This whole week I've been dealing with so many questions and it feels too much like after the car crash.

"Why does everyone keep asking me that! Can't you all pass on a message? I know you can gossip, what's the difference? She's in a freaking coma! She hasn't woken up yet!" I yell, tears swelling up in my eyes.

"Hey, hey. It's gonna be okay." Cece says grabbing my face in her hands.

"I promise." She pulls me into a hug.

"I thought she was gonna die." I sob.

After an hour of talking at Annie with Kyle and attempting to play UNO with her - by the way a very hard game to play with someone in a coma - we head to the hospital car park.

"Hey guys! How was Annie today?" Nanna says as I open the passenger side door.

"Not very chatty." Kyle jokes.

"Your Mum is at the spa, so Cal is watching Katie." Nanna says. It's still weird to have Cal coming over so often. It's hard to think of my Mum having a boyfriend.

Laying on the couch with Katie, Kyle, Nanna, Mum and Cal, we halfwatch some movie Katie put on while Cal and I talk strategy for the game next week.

"Kyle turn the TV down. I'm getting a call." Mum says walking off to the kitchen. After a few minutes she walks back in looking shocked.

"Maddie?" Cal asks, standing up and walking over to her.

"What is it Mummy?" Katie asks.

"Annie woke up."
