Ty's POV:
I walk Annie up the porch as Mum swings the front door open."Do you guys feel like cake and icecream?" She asks as I instantly smile.
"Sounds perfect." I reply as Mum walks to the kitchen.
I turn my attention to Annie who looks slightly hesitant.
"We have cookie dough icecream." The response relaxes her.
"Come on." I rest my arm over her shoulder as we walk back inside.

Annie yawns beside me as the end credits of a movie plays on the TV.
"Last day of Junior year tomorrow. We'll be Seniors." I remark as Annie pulls herself from the couch.
"Then we better get some sleep in." She smiles as she helps me up and we walk upstairs, only to go off into different directions.
I lay down on my bed, as I imagine how comforting it felt to hold Annie in my arms again, to reassure her that everything would be okay, to feel like she still loved me.
Hastily, I push the thought away, not wanting to ruin our friendship with feelings, again.
However, my mind is bombarded with her soft voice, her melodious laugh and her smile. Her eyes hold my gaze, inviting me into the crevices of her smart, funny qnd slightly broken mind.
I see her with my family at holidays, charming my Nana, laughing with Kyle and Katie, chatting with Maddie and Cal.
Walking hand-in-hand to school in summer, and huddling together in winter.
I imagine watching movies with her wearing one of my hoodies. Her hand playing with my hair, or painting my nails.
Her face in the hospital when I thought she would die haunts me. The way her bones stuck out of her body, and the blood stained her too pale skin, is forever imprinted into my memory.
I drift of to sleep, my mind playing memories I want to forget on repeat.

"Ty! Ty! Ty!" I feel small hands hitting my arm.
"Wake up!" Katie yells aggressively as I groan in pain.
"Ow!" I exclaim as she jumps onto my back.
"Katie, go brush your hair and teeth." Annie's voice laughs as I feel her pry Katie away from me.
"Thank you, Annabelle Sullivan." I mumble as I start to fall back to sleep.
"Get up, Tyler Townsend." Annie states, opening the curtains and exposing me to the sun.
"Hurry up, we're gonna be late, loser." Kyle chimes in as he pulls my pillow from under my head and throws it to the floor, walking back out of my room.
"Since when did he torment me? I thought that was supposed to be the other way around?" I mutter as I climb out of bed, grab some clothes out of the dresser and start getting ready.
Ten minutes later, still pulling my shoes on, I hobble down the front yard as Annie stands at the side walk, holding my lunch.
"Thanks." I say as she places it into my backpack while I tie my shoelaces.
"Slow poke." Kyle comments as he walks ahead of us.
"Hey, you just wait till I have the energy and strength to fight you, you'll be sorry." I yawn as Annie passes me my bag.
"I'm shaking in my boots." Kyle rolls his eyes.

"Townsend!" Luke calls out as he walks up to me. Annie bids goodbye to Kyle, who walks in the opposite direction to hang out with his friends.
