Annie's POV:
We walk through the house as people are already playing beer pong and other games. Me and Kyle continue on as the others go off to talk to the guys in the baseball team.

"You feel drunk just from the smell." Kyle comments on the very strong scent of alchol that lingers in the air.

"The joys of high school parties." I state sarcastically as we spot Sarah, Raylene and Nellie.

"Nellie? I thought your Mum wouldn't let you come?" Kyle asks when he sees her.

"Well, the only way Jackson could come was if he brought me along with him." Nellie smiles, obviously quite proud for getting here.

"Jackson is here?" I ask suprised. I feel sick.

"Oooh. This could be interesting." Sarah jokes, trying to make me feel better. I told her and Raylene about my interaction with Jackson on Monday.

"I saw him by the pool when I was trying to find Sarah." Raylene says as she sips a fowl smelling concoction from her plastic cup.

"Yeah no. If someone hands you a cup do not drink it, go to the kitchen yourself." Raylene advises as she grimaces at the taste, spitting it back into the cup.

"You can pour that out while I grab a beer. I'm gonna need it to get through tonight." I suggest as we walk off to the kitchen, Sarah right behind us.

* * *

After a couple hours and a couple more drinks I am no longer sober, but am not drunk.

I've gotten to the sweet spot in between where I feel great, but am not gonna have an awful hangover tomorow. I have learnt my lesson on knowing how much drinking is too much.

Raylene, Sarah and I dance around outside with some others before Raylene, the only sober one out of us falls asleep on the couch.

"She lasted longer than expected." Sarah remarks as we look over at Raylene.

"She was pretty tired." I say as Nellie and Kyle sit down next to a sleeping Raylene.

"We're both pretty tired so might sit down for a bit. We'll watch her. Go have fun." Nellie smiles as he reassures us.

I am definetly starting to like her, but I just wonder how it's going with Kyle. I'm still suprised they have had their first kiss. They seem so awkward and shy around eachother, it's freaking adorable!

"You heard her, dancing queen. Let's go!" Sarah laughs as we walk back onto the back porch. Music pumps from speakers beside an outide dining table that has been moved to the corner of the porch that overlooks the garden and pool.

* * *

About half an hour of dancing passes before a slow song comes on and Sarah gets asked to dance.

I tell her to have fun and then head to the side of the room.

"Hey princess." I hear a voice behind me say.

"You know if anyone else said that it would be very creepy." I smile as I turn my head to see Jackson leaning against a pillar.

"Whatcha doing here and not on the dance floor?" He asks, casually surveying everyone dancing.

"As you can see, I'm alone at the moment. Thought it would be a bit sad if I danced to a slow romantic song on my own." I laugh as we watch couples sway happily, whispering and smiling giddily.

"I was looking for Ty, but he must be inside or something." I sigh glancing around looking for him.

"You're not gonna have to look much further." Jackson points to Ty and Cece in the garden.

I quietly approach them and can hear their hushed voices. "Ty I'm sorry, okay. Can we just talk about it?" Cece asks as Ty rolls his eyes.

"You kissed me! I have a girlfriend who I love. We are friends you can't do that!" Ty argues angrily as my pace picks up and I stomp over towards them.

"What in hell is going on?" I demand while glaring at Cece.

"Annie-" Ty tries to say.

"Uh, hey there..." Jackson says as he walks up slowly trying to read the room.

"What's up?" Jackson asks me concerned.

"Ask her." I say bluntly while Ty trys to hold my hand.

"I promise Annie, it's not what you think it is." Ty tries to reassure me.

"Apparently Cece kissed Ty." I say taking a step away from him.

"Annie. I promise, I didn't mean to hurt you. She kissed me and I instantly pulled away and asked her to leave. I only invited her over as a friend." Ty trys to explain but I block out what he is saying.

"I need to go." I mutter trying to catch my breath.

"I'll drive you home." Ty offers.

"No, I will. She needs some time." Jackson says placing a hand on my shoulder.

"Please Annie. I would never ever cheat on you I promise!" Ty says tears welling up in his eyes.

"I need time." I breathe as Jackson stears me away from the garden and through the side gate onto the street.

I watch the world go by fast as I sit in Jackson's car. I watch as trees blur into a green haze and cars.

I'm too tired to try think reasonably and slowly drift to sleep, the sound of cars and music on the radio, becoming white noise.

Some questions to awnser in the comments:
Will Dana Sue tell Annie that she is Isaac's Mum? (would you like it if she was. personally I think it's a cool concept)
Does Kyle maybe like more than just girls? Maybe other genders aswell?
Will Helen be able to have a kid with Chef Eric?
Will Cal and Maddie tie the knot?

And please follow me for updates on when new parts are released and ideas for future parts!

I hope you're having a lovely day where ever you are in the world! 🧡
