No Drama

Annie's POV:
"Ty?" I ask as we break apart from our hug.

"Yeah?" He asks.

"What is this? Because I don't want to get the wrong impression." I ask gesturing to the space between us.

"I was wondering if you would like to go on a date?" Ty asks casually.

"A date?" I ask smiling.

"Yes. Our first date. A clean slate." Ty explains.

"Do you really need to ask? Of course I will go out with you." I smile, leaning in to kiss him again.

We walk hand in hand over to his truck. After he parks in front of my house he turns off the engine. He gives me a kiss on the cheek.

"I want to take this slow. No way am I screwing this up." Ty says his hand caressing my cheek.

"Trust me. You can't screw this up. I really should go inside. My Mum's home." I whisper, hugging him.

"Ok. See you tomorrow." Ty smiles kissing me one last time before I get out and walk over to the front door.

"Hey baby! How was your day?" Mum asks as I walk in.

"Great." I say smiling giddily.

"What's got you happier than a pig in mud?" Mum asks as she cuts up vegetables.

"Nothin'." I say smiling widely.

"This is about a boy isn't it?" Mum asks excitedly.

"Maybe." I smile as I unpack my school bag.

"Ok. I get it. Don't tell uncool Mum what is going on in your teenage life." Mum says as I sit down at the kitchen counter.

"Ty asked me out." I blurt out before I can stop myself.

"Wait. Tyler Townsend or another Tyler?" Mum asks. Not exactly the response I was looking for.

"Yes. Tyler Townsend." I explain, confused.

"Really? Well, don't you think your too young to start dating?" Mum asks as she passes me an apple to eat.

"I've been on dates with guys before, Mum." I say confused.

"I know. Just..." Mum starts to say.

"But you know Ty well. You were there when he was born." I say annoyed.

"Yeah." Mum says.

"So when I find a sweet guy that I really really like, I shouldn't go out with him because you know him?" I ask angrily.

"You really like him?" Mum asks.

"Yeah. I do." I say.

I think telling her I love him might be a bit much for her.

"Well, then you have my blessing. If you really like him, I can't stop you from dating Ty." Mum says.

I sigh in relief and a small tear rolls down my cheek. "You don't know how much you saying that means to me." I admit hugging her.

"Aww darlin'." Mum says hugging me back.

Kyle lays on my bed as he watches me scavenging through my closet. "I have nothing to wear!" I yell angrily.

"What the hell do you wear on the first date anyway?" I ask looking over at Kyle.

"Depends on what your doing. Or who." Kyle laughs.

"Ew! Seriously? I've got no clue and Ty refuses to tell me what we are doing." I say jumping onto the bed beside Kyle.

"On another note, how are you and Nellie?" I ask as I watch Kyle blush.

"Really good. I really really like her. She's so easy to talk to and... I'm constantly thinking about her." Kyle says smiling.

"I'm so happy for you." I say smiling.

"Anyway, who have you told about you and Ty?" Kyle asks.

"I told my Mum yesterday and you. No one else. I didn't know who to tell." I admit.

"Understandable. I almost forgot! I overheard Ty talking about you with Gabe and Luke." Kyle says.

"Oh my god! What did he say?" I ask.

"Just how cute you were and how he loves you!" Kyle smiles as I giggle.

"I think you forgot to tell me a major detail." Kyle playfully hits my shoulder.

"He told me he loves me. And I told him I love him too." I smile widely just saying it out loud.

"How could you have forgotten to tell me?" Kyle laughs hitting me with a pillow.

As I glance over at my closet a dress catches my eye. "Found what I'm wearing." I say smiling as I show the dress to Kyle.

"You look really happy." Kyle states laying on my bed.

"I am." I sigh honestly.

"No drama. Everything is perfect." I say happily.
