Patience

Ty's POV:
Coach Cal, walks over to me. "What happened!?" He asks desperatly.

"I heard Annie and Kyle were in a car crash! How are they?" He asks, bombarding me with questions.

"They are okay. Annie had some internal bleeding but after a small surgery she was good. She also has broken her leg. Kyle has whiplash and a broken rib. The doctors keep telling us how lucky they are." I explain.

"Mum is in with Kyle if you want to see her?" I ask, as I point over to Kyle's room.

"Yeah." He sighs, relieved, as we walk over to the room.

As soon as Cal walks through the door Mum wraps her arms around him in a hug. Tears start running down both their faces as they hug each other tight, as if the other person was a lifeline.

"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have yelled at you, the other night. It wasn't your fault that Jonny talked to Ty." Mum whispers, just loud enough for me to hear.

"No, I'm sorry. I should have told you who Jonny was from the start." Cal says, almost too quiet for me to hear. Mum wipes away the tears on Cal's cheeks as they pull away.

I had to look away as they kissed. Just a peck. But it shook me. I've never seen Mum kiss anyone other than Dad. But as I see her sit over next to Kyle, laughing at something Cal said, I've also never seen her happier.

"Hey Katie." I say.

"Hi Ty!" Katie says smiling her toothless smile. She recently lost the teeth next to her top front teeth. She was so excited about the tooth fairy coming it was almost impossible to get her asleep.

"Katie, can I sit on that seat?" I ask, as she nods and jumps off the seat.

As I sit down she jumps on to my lap. "So Katie, want to play on my phone?" I ask pulling my phone out of my pocket.

"Yes, please!" Katie exclaims.

"You can play on it if you can get it." I tease dangling my phone just put of her reach. She gets up and starts jumping up and down, giggling hysterically,  trying to get my phone.

I give in and hand my phone over to her. "There Miss Katie." I say as Katie giggles, sitting back down.

Later that day I'm talking to Kyle about the play. "- you really did do a great job!" I say.

"Yeah, it was a lot of fun! Would you ever think of trying it?" Kyle asks.

"Hell no! I have trouble speaking in front of my class, no way am I gonna be able to speak to a whole audience staring at me!" I laugh.

"True." Kyle smiles.

"When can I leave?" Kyle asks turning to Mum.

"Patience, child of mine. The doctors are going to assess you in a bit and say how much longer you need to stay." Mum says rubbing his cheeck.

"Hang in there." She says, reminding me of the GIF Annie sent me a couple of weeks ago.

The doctors asked me and Katie to leave the room, so we walked around the hallways, getting very lost. I get a text from Mum saying Kyle will only have to stay in the hospital for two to three more days.

"Um excuse me, we are a little lost." I say as a nurse walks past us. She is very nice and directs us back to Kyle's room.

"Two or three more days till I get to go home!" Kyle yells, fist bumping the air. I laugh as Katie and I walk over to his bed.

I look around the room seeing Katie jumping up and down sharing Kyle's excitment, Dad laughing at Katie as he walks through the door and Mum and Cal holding hands smiling at Kyle. All I can think about is how great a family we have, even if it's no where near perfect.

Hi. Sorry not much happened. This part was kinda a filler, not that important but necessary to fill time. They will be out of the hospital very soon though! As always, any ideas for the next parts or theories for Season 2 are very welcome. Hope you have a nice day!
