Annie's POV:
I drag myself over to the baseball pitch. Ty and Gabe aren't around yet, the boys must still be in the change room.

I sit down on the bleachers, right in the spot I sat when Ty and I nearly kissed yesterday.

I relive the moment as I close my eyes, feeling how his eyes looked into mine, his breath across my cheek, his face and mine so close together and the sound of my heart pumping in my cheast.

Suddenly, I hear Ty and Jackson across the field bickering. "-try hit the ball this time, Townsend!" Jackson yells.

"Oh I will. I'll hit right at that empty head of yours!" Ty yells, walking towards Gabe and Luke. I laugh, knowing that Ty and Jackson have been at each other's throats since they could talk.

I grab my science homework out of my bag, and attempt to fill out the worksheet while Ty practises. Truth is, I'm horrible at science.

My Dad used to say your either born with a math brain or an english brain, he said it to make me feel better about my horrible grades in Math.

Math brains being people who find math, science, that sort of stuff, easier. An English brains are more creative and find english, art, etc, easier. Kyle and I all have english brains.

I don't like English class that much, but I don't find it very hard, either.

I definitely prefer art, though. Drawing and painting is fine, but photography is my true calling. I love being able to capture emotion and meaning in a picture.

Ty on the other hand isn't really a school person. He's grades aren't too great, but he has a passion for baseball.

Ever since I can remember Ty has loved baseball. It's his safe place, like my safe place is behind a camera.

"Hey Annie." I hear Aunt Maddie say

"Hi Aunt Maddie. How was work?" I ask.

"Hectic. Our computer crashed. But all is right now! How was school?" Aunt Maddie asks.

"Fine." I say, as I move my crutches out of the way so she can sit down.

"How's your science homework going?" She asks, looking down at my laptop.

"Let's just say, I'm not going to be a scientist." I joke.

Aunt Maddie has a very pretty laugh. It's not as loud as mine, and not as fake as Cece's. Is sweet and kind, just like her personality. I guess that's why the town calls her, Mum and Aunt Helen the Sweet Magnolias.

Me and Aunt Maddie chat for a while, while she helps me with my homework.

After practise, Ty takes forever to get changed. Once he's finally out of his baseball uniform and in clean clothing we walk over to Aunt Maddie's car.

He tells us about his day, how crappy maths class was, how irritating Jackson is, what happened in practise, etc, all whilst avoiding direct eye contact.

Ty then asks me how my day was.
I lie and say it was good. I leave out the part about spotting Cece and Ty
kissing. I leave out the part about crying over him. I leave out the part about me not eating anything today.

I feel a little dizzy but I ingnore it.

"Here we are!" Aunt Maddie says driving up to the front of her house.

"Mummy!" I hear Katie yell as she runs out the house.

"Hey sugar!" Aunt Maddie says, climbing out of the car and swooping Katie up in a hug.

"Ty! Annie!" Katie giggles as she runs over to us. She grabs Ty by the arm and drags him inside.

"Can we please play troll hunters?" I hear Katie asks as she opens the front door.

"Your Mum will come over after she closes the resturant." Aunt Maddie says as we walk inside.

Kyle is walking down the stairs, his eyes glued to his phone. "Who are you texting?" I ask.

"Doesn't matter-" Kyle starts to say before Ty grabs Kyle's phone out of his hand.

"Ooooooh! Look who it is, Serenitiy's own Nellie Lewis!" Ty exclaims.

"Ty! Give me back my phone!" Kyle yells reaching for his phone.

"Mmm, nah. I was thinking you should invite your new girlfriend over." Ty says as he scrolls through Kyle's texts.

"She's not my girlfriend! She's a girl who's a friend!" Kyle snaps, as he snatches back his phone and walks back up to his room.

"Don't worry 'bout him. He's just grumpy." Ty says. I'm starting to feel very dizzy.

Ty continues talking but I don't pay attention. My head is spinning really fast. I stumble my way into the kitchen and reach for a glass of water.

While reaching for the cupboard, my head starts spinning faster and I feel my crutches slip out from under my arms, as they go falling towards the ground. I quickly grab hold of the counter, keeping my balance.

"Annie!" I hear Ty yell as he runs into the room. I almost smile from how quickly he ran in here. Almost.

"You okay? What happened?" He asks grabbing my crutches off the floor, and walking over to me.

"Just got clumsy. I'm fine." I say. He asks me what I was doing, I tell him I was just getting a glass of water.

"Are you sure you are okay?" Ty asks as he pours me a glass of water.

"Thanks." I say as he passes the cup to me.

"I'm sure." I lie, my head slowing down as I drink the water. Must have just got de-hydrated.

We awkwardly stand in the kitchen silently, whilst I drink my glass of water. I still can't believe I nearly kissed him yesterday.

I wish I could tell Ty how much I like him. I wish I could tell him how I feel when I see him with Cece. I wish he knew I heard what he said in the hospital after the accident.

And I wish he would tell me how much he liked me, meaning for me to hear him.
