Annie's POV:
"Annie. Hello. Any one home?" I hear Mum ask as we sit around the table for breakfast."Sorry! I was up late last night." I yawn.
"Maybe we should call Dr Howie. He said if the nightmares continue to call him." Mum mutters.
"No, I'm fine. I promise!"
"Well, all you ever do is mope around this house." Mum says. I have been moping a lot, I guess.
"Actually, I'm going to go take some pictures at the park after lunch. There's always kids there. And I have to go to the upcoming baseball game, newspaper." I point out.
I only have to go to the game because I'm one of the only people on the newspaper who can take an in focus shot, let alone a good one.
"Kyle's going to Hamilton next weekend. He has talked about it non stop since his Dad told him!" I change the subject.
"Oh yeah, that's coming up. Tell him that I hope he enjoys it for me!" Mum exclaims, standing up.
While she's in the bathroom I chuck the rest of my toast in the bin. I quite like toast, but I'm not hungry. Or at least my hunger is now numb.
I haven't been completely starving myself. I ate a salad for dinner last night and an apple for lunch yesterday. I just don't bother with breakfast anymore.
"So am I driving you to the park?" Mum asks.
"Nah, it's okay Mum. I can walk." I stand up, kiss her on the cheek and walk over to my room.
I walk over to my mirror. My stomach is starting to flatten. Not enough though.
I grab a sweatshirt from my dresser, even though it's hot outside. I quickly put it on, put my headphones in, and go for a run.
As I run, I lose focus of where I'm going. My head starts to spin. Slowly at first, but as I run it spins faster and faster.
Then the whole world goes dark, and I collide with someone else.
"Ah!" I hear someone say as I tumble to the ground. Luckly my camera is stowed away in its case, so it will be okay.
As I look up, the first thing I see are his eyes. In some lights his eyes are blue but in other light they are hazel.
I have told him this once with Kyle while we were walking to school, he just asked which I thought were sexier on him. Kyle laughed and laughed for ages.
"You okay?" He asks, extending his hand towards me.
"Fine. You?" I ask, slipping my hand into his as he pulls me upward.
"Ty! What is taking you so long?" I hear Katie yell as she comes bounding around the corner.
"Annie!" She yells running over towards us.
"Can you come to the park with us?" She asks, smiling that cute smile only little kids can pull off.
I don't really wanna be around Ty, but I love spending time with Katie. I glance over him as if asking, then I turn to Katie.
"Sure." I shrug as Katie grabs my hand and runs towards the park.
Katie races me over to the playground, as we collapse onto the grass. I lean over and tickle her as she screams with laughter.
The sky is a baby blue and I can hardly see any clouds. The grass is a vibrant forest green and even the playground equipment seems more colourful than usual.
I look back over to Katie who is sitting up. "Hurry up, Ty!" I hear her yell.
I look over towards Ty, as I am sitting up, to see him across the street, making out with his girlfriend.
