Annie's POV:
I grin as I bask in the warm sunlight.

"I could just fall asleep here." Raylene says from the plastic lounge chair next to mine.

I quickly glance around to see that the public pool is almost empty, with the exception of us and a small family, swimming in the water.

"The water is actually really nice." Sarah calls from the pool.

"So is staying warm and dry." I reply.

"You two are boring." Sarah grumbles as Raylene and I laugh.

I sit up only to see Ty and Kyle, followed closely by Jackson, walking over to the public pool.

"This cannot be good." I say moving my sunglasses onto my head and slipping into my white t-shirt, covering my dark green bikini and black denim shorts.

"Oh boy. Sarah, we've got company" Raylene sighs, sitting up.

"Drama, fun!" Sarah smiles, climbing out of the pool and pulling her towel around her.

"Not when you're often the centre of it." I laugh as Kyle opens the fence and walks over to us.

"Hi. And I'm sorry about how awkward this is probably going to be." He apologises quickly, sitting down beside Raylene and Sarah.

"Look what the cat dragged in." I laugh as Ty walks over to me, his face stern as stone.

"Okay, not in a laughing mood. Noted." I mutter as Jackson walks up to us.

"You haven't responded to any of my texts." I say as his eyes lock on the ground.

"Busy." I hear him lie to me.

"Want to tell me why you're both here?" I suggest.

"We need to talk to you. About this... dynamic." Jackson explains as I sigh.

"Okay, what-" I start to say before Ty interrupts.

"Who do you like? We both like you." Ty asks.

"Do we really have to discuss this?" I ask, as Ty says yes.

"Well, I've already told Jackson that while I love him platonically, I don't reciprocate his romantic feelings." I explain.

"Why not?" Ty asks curiously as I sigh.

"Because-" I struggle to figure out what to say when Jackson interrupts me.

"Because she loves you. She always did. I never stood a chance." Jackson yells, his voice filled with frustration.

"So Annie. How do you feel about me?" Ty asks as I see Isaac walking through the gate.

"Want a ride Annie?" He asks.

"God yes." I whisper, hugging him.

I quickly grab my phone, and glance over at Sarah and Raylene, who both nod, telling me to go.

"Thank you so much." I say when I climb into the passenger seat of his car.

"I could tell from a mile away that you were uncomfortable." He says, starting the engine.

"So, you're my brother." I say as he smiles at me.

"And you're my sister." He replies as he drives down my street.

"It's pretty cool. I've never had a sibling." I smile as he parks out front my house.

"Neither have I." He says as I lean over and hug him.

"Thank you. For everything you've done for me." I say.

"What are brothers for."
