I Know It's Hard For You

Annie's POV:
"Hey, are you tired?" Ty asks after I sleeping yawn.

"What do you think Sherlock?" I ask as he smiles.

"Come on, I'll drive you home." Ty says as he grabs his keys and my hand and heads for the front door.

"This was great Ty." I smile as he intertwined his hand in mine.

"That was my intention." Ty says as we drive down the road to my house.

"I'm sad it's over, but I'll see you tomorow at church." I say, actually excited for church for a change.

We hastily kiss, drawing apart for air as I notice my Mum turning on the porch light.

Ty leans in and kisses me gentely before letting go of my hand, and saying "See you tomorow."

I climb out of the truck and wave as I walk up to the porch.

I collapse on my bed after I get ready to go to sleep. I quickly message Tyler before turning my phone off.

Annie
Good night Ty. Love you.

Ty
Love u too. See u @ church

I fall asleep with a smile on my face.
A boy loves me.

I stare out at the night. The sky looks so familiar. Suddenly I hear tyres screeching and the sound of glass shattering.

I try to hide my head from the sound, even though I know it's just a memory. Suddenly, without meaning to I scream.

Tears build up in my eyes and I see a figure standing above me. It's me. I'm standing above my body covered in cuts and bruises, wearing my prom dress covered in blood.

They then leave as I suddenly realise I'm in the ocean.

I see my body slowly sinking under the waves. I swim fast and try to reach the surface, but I'm too late.

I feel hands grabbing onto me and pulling me away as I try yelling for help.

I wake up in a pool of sweat, panting for air. I grab my phone and look at the time. "Really, three in the morning?" I mumble as I look out at the pitch black sky.

Suddenly I get a text from Kyle.

Kyle
Can u sleep?

Annie
Just woke up from a nightmare. Can't believe I still get them. Do you still get them?

Kyle
Yeah, but im not as scared when they happen as I used to be. Wanna vid call?

Before I can reply Kyle is calling. "Morning." He says. Kyle is sitting on the couch it seems and is bundled in multiple blankets.

"Cold?" I ask laughing slightly.

"Kinda. I can't turn on the heater cause it's really loud." Kyle explains.

"Now wanna tell me about your nightmare?" Kyle asks sympathetically.

I explain how the dream and he sits there and listens. He gives me a reassuring smile.

"It's gonna be okay." Kyle says.

"For both of us." I smile slightly.

"Should I wake up Ty?" Kyle asks when he notices a tear rolling down my cheek.

"No. Let him sleep. Then at least one of us won't fall asleep during church." I joke as Kyle asks if I'm sure.

"Yep. Why don't we turn off our cameras and watch a movie together?" I ask.
