Annie's POV:
Monday. I hate Mondays.

"Ready for school?" Isaac asks when I call him in the morning, after getting dressed.

"Yep definetly." I state sarcastically.

"I can literally hear you rolling your eyes." He laughs as I open my curtains and quickly shut my eyes as sunlight temporarily blinds me.

"I miss hanging out with you. I still can't believe Mum has limited my shifts. She thinks it's for my own good. Working at the resturant is really fun!" I complain as I brush my hair and teeth.

"Of course you enjoy working there. You work with me!" Isaac jokes as I laugh.

"I miss hanging out with you too. Any new gossip?" Isaac asks curiously.

Inbetween shifts we always talk about the latest gossip at school.

"Nothing new yet, might have to call you back after school." I laugh as Isaac asks what I mean.

"I mean, there may be this mystery jock who decided to pull his act together and ask a girl to be his girlfriend." I say, smiling widely as I pack my bag.

"Mystery jock pulled through. Took Ty a while, jeez. You happy?" Isaac asks excitedly as I have goodbye to Mum while she walks out to her car.

"Very much so. I love him." I whisper so Mum doesn't hear.

"Wow! That's fast." He says.

"Well we've known eachother our whole lives." I explain as I turn off the lights and head to the front door.

"Very true." Isaac states as I slip on my sneakers and grab my keys.

"Now, any gossip at work?" I ask as I open the door.

As I walk out I see Ty's truck in the driveway as he honks the horn.

"Stop! The whole town can hear you!" I laugh running towards the car.

"You ready?" Ty asks as we arrive at school.

"Yeah." I sigh as he gets out and walks around to open my door.

Apparently Kyle arrived at school early to work on a group project, but I get the feeling that Kyle and Ty had a fight.

"Let's go." He says, taking my hand and walking straight towards the front doors.

"Here goes nothing." I whisper as we walk inside, hand-in-hand.

As Ty walks me to my locker, I can see his and my classmates eyes on us.

Ty was popular and a baseball star, so all eyes on him isn't unusual, but before this year most people knew my name but often forgot we literally grew up together.

A very odd sight had entered the halls of Serenity High School.

Ty leans against the locker next to mine as I grab my books out of my locker.

"Did you see all the people staring? Like we were some mystical beast." Ty says annoyed.

"Hey, it's fine. It's a small town, the rumor mill will find a pregnancy test in the bathroom or something and then they will have something else to talk about." I reassure him.

"I know. It's nothing." He says smiling, as I close my locker. Ty quickly takes the opportunity to close the space between us. We slowly close the space, and suddenly his hand is on my waist bringing me closer to him.
