Reminiscing

Ty's POV:
"What!" I yell.

"What else do you know?" I ask frantically, jumping up from the couch and walking over to Mum.

"Not much. The doctors say there aren't going to be any long term injuries. Apparently she woke up an hour ago." Mum says.

"And before you say anything! Dana Sue says she is sorry for not calling sooner, Annie just got out of a exam.

The nurses say that as soon as her concussion subsides she should be able to be cared for at home if she wishes." Mum says as I open my mouth to speak.

"When can we see her?" Kyle asks, sitting up straight.

"I don't know. Hopefully soon." Mum says sitting back down on the couch.

I sit at the end of my bed flicking through photos in my photo album Mum made for me last year. I stop when I see a photo of Kyle and I.

I am resting my arm on Kyle's head and smiling cheekily. Kyle is pouting and glaring up at me.

I flip through more photos. One is of Kyle and Katie baking. They got baking powder all over them.

Another is of Kyle and I wearing matching knight costumes and Annie wearing a princess dress and fairy wings. Annie and I must have been only seven and eight years old.

As I put the book up onto the shelf, a photo falls out. A photo I toke at the start of the year.

Annie is laughing at something I said and looking straight at the camera. I can almost hear her sweet laugh now.

"I can't wait to see you again. Just stay safe until I can." I whisper, grabbing an empty photo frame from one of my drawers and putting her photo inside.

I place her photo alongside a photo of me with my friends, and a family photo taken a couple years after Katie was born.

"Ty? Can I come in?" I hear Katie ask.

"Of course!" I reply as she comes in and sits on my bed.

"What were you doing?" Katie asks.

"Reminiscing." I awnser as she looks at me funny.

"Looking at some old photos." I explain, but she isn't paying attention.

"Are you okay?" I ask, as I place a hand on her forehead, checking to see if she is sick.

"I miss Annie." She says as I sit down next to her.

"Me too." I say hugging her.

Sorry this chapter is so short, I've kinda been off mentally recently so, I might not be able to update as regularly anymore, but I will try my best.
