Annie's POV:
I get up and ready for school before Ty even wakes up, so that we don't have to talk about last night. After arriving at school, I call Cece, who immediately picks up.
"Hey, I'm already at school if you want to talk now instead?" I ask her as she agrees and tells me she also came to school early today.
We meet up out front of school and walk through the halls together to her locker.
"I'm actually happy that we could do this earlier. No one around to spy on us." She jokes as I force a laugh.
"Anyway, I just wanted to let you know I'm really sorry. For everything. I have been awful to you. Frankly, because I was jealous of you. You're so smart and you and Ty have so much history. I got intimidated." She admits shyly, as I feel taken aback by her honesty.
"I said and did things to you I regret alot. Kissing Ty was a stupid mistake. I hope you know I would never try to get between the two of you. I respect you. And I know Ty loves you so much more than he could ever love me."
"I know an apology isn't enough. Nothing can make up for what I did. And I'm really sorry." Cece finishes saying.
"I forgive you. And if we are being honest, I was jealous of you. Ty hardly gave me a second look until after the accident, but he always saw you as girlfriend-potential." I speak honestly.
"That's real sweet, but he has had eyes for you for ages." Cece comments as we fall into silence.
"I know it would be too much to ask for us to be friends." Cece says as I smile.
"Maybe one day." I reply.
"I can settle for people who don't hate eachother, for now." Cece smiles as we laugh.

The next week at Serenity High School flies by.
Ty and I are busy studying for end of year tests and working at the Corner Spa.
Kyle is moping about after breaking up with Nellie, but deciding to remain friends.
And Jackson is still avoiding me like the bubonic plague. Whenever I see him, he disappears around some corner or down a hallway.
"Sorry I'm late. I had to ask a teacher about something I got wrong on a test." Ty slides down next to Kyle in the booth at Wharton's after school, breaking my train of thought.
"The Ty Townsend stayed, after class, to ask a teacher about the school work? The apocalypse is upon us." Kyle exclaims dramatically as Ty rolls his eyes.
"You lot ordered yet? I'm starving!" Ty asks as I smile and shake my head.
"Just in the nick of time." I comment as Grace Wharton walks over to our table.
"Hello! What can I getcha?" She asks as Ty immediately smiles.
"Three milkshakes, two chocolate, one strawberry and a bowl of your delicious chips, ma'am." Ty grins as Grace smiles and walks away to the kitchen.
"Just letting you know, you're paying." Kyle explains to Ty, who just rolls his eyes and continues telling us about his day.
After about ten minutes Grace returns, carrying a tray of milkshakes and chips.
"Here you go. Just come pay when you're ready." She says as Kyle passes me my strawberry milkshake.
"Thanks darlin'. May I just say, you look lovely today Grace. Did you have a hair cut recently?" Ty asks as Grace blushes.
"Thank you Tyler. I did have a hair cut! I thought I might switch it up a bit, not that Neville noticed." Grace laughs.
"Well I think it suits you perfectly. This food looks amazing, as always, might I add." He continues as Grace smirks and turns to me.
"What a charmer? And pretty cute, right Annie?" She asks as I choke on my milkshake, blushing a deep maroon.
"I think she agrees." Ty smirks as Kyle tries to hold back laughter.
"I seem to have stirred up some trouble with the youngsters, my job is complete. I better go see how our new waitress is doing. See you lot later." Grace smiles at the mayhem she caused as she walks over to the kitchen.
"I think Grace is just a doll. Don't you?" Ty asks as Kyle laughs.
"You're just saying that cause she brought you food and thought you were cute. Oh, and embarrassed Annie." Kyle points out as I glare at him, while Ty laughs.
"Maybe." He grins, glancing back at me for longer than what feels necessary.

I lounge on the porch, laying on the outside couch at the Townsend's house later that afternoon, Kyle half-asleep on the seat across from me.
As I am considering waking him up, I see Coach Cal's car pull up in the driveway.
He steps out in a blue suit jacket and matching pants, holding a bouquet of red roses.
"Maddie's not home." I tell him as he walks up the stairs.
"Perfect." He smiles as Ty walks outside and notices Cal.
They instantly exchange a knowing smirk, as if telepathically coming up with the plan for a bank heist.
