We reach the Hall as dinner is ending; most of the tables seem only half full and quiet. We quickly walk up to Fred, who is shoving cauldron cakes in his mouth.

"Oi! Where were the two of you? Missed the best chicken I've ever-" Fred starts, but is interrupted by me grabbing his collar and dragging him out of his seat. He scrambles to grab another cauldron cake as I pull him away, our friends all giggles at the spectacle.

"Fred," I say as I try to swallow my pride, "We need your... expertise."

Fred smiles, asking what we need.

"Mate, it erm... It seems I've forgotten the... the.." George begins, trying to fight a smile from forming on his lips.

"The what? Spit it out!" Fred prods.

"The morning after charm." George finally says, quietly.

Fred's eyes open wide before he breaks into a fit of laughter. "The morning after charm?" he howls.

"Would you be quiet?" I say as I slap his shoulder.

"Right, right." He casts a spell on me, before doubling over again. "I can't believe you two- you two!" His laughter soon becomes disgust. "Wait. That's like finding out Ginny-"

"Stop it!" George chides him, although the smile doesn't leave his expression.

"Please don't tell anyone, Freddie." I beg, my face growing red once more.

"Cross my heart and hope to die," Fred says, his face holding a fake seriousness, "I'll only tell Lee!" He runs off before George or I can say anything.

"Stop looking so smug, would you!" I lightly push his shoulder. He chuckles, pulling me closer and giving me a kiss.

"Let's go down to the kitchens, get our dinner." He whispers. I follow him and we eat together in the kitchens, avoiding going upstairs and facing everyone. When we've run out of excuses, we begrudgingly ascend the stairs to the common room.

We enter the tower, immediately bombarded by our friends. Hermione pulls me aside with Ginny; I can see the boys slapping George's back, howling and congratulating him. Harry and Ron are wide eyed, trying to sneak glances at me.

"Merlin, this is so embarrassing!" I whisper to the girls.

"It shouldn't be! But you really must be more careful next time. I'm sure you can get on the pill of you ask Madam Pom-"

"Hermione!" I gasp, shocked at her candor. Ginny and I giggle and the boys are quick to join us.

"What's so funny over here?" Lee questions, eyebrows raised.

"Nothing!" I say quickly, my face turning pink. My embarrassment drives everyone into hysterics, except Hermione.

"Grow up, would you!" She chides. Ron immediately stops laughing and averts his eyes from her gaze.

She pulls me to the couch and we sit together, the rest of the group following us. Everyone is pink in the face, on the brink of bursting into laughter again.

"Boys, when's the next quidditch match?" Ginny asks, trying to defuse the tension.

"Friday evening; we'll be throwing our annual Hufflepuff demolition party that same night!" Fred face lights up as he answers his sister.

"Poor Hufflepuff. Hasn't won a game against us in how many years?" Ron laughs.

We begin to chat causally, our excitement for the party bubbling into every word. Everyone knew the twins threw the best parties. Lee and I were never allowed to help; they were too controlling and wanted to make everything perfectly the way they wanted.

We talk for the rest of the night, and finally the group slowly begins to go upstairs for bed. George and I are left in the common room with only a few of our classmates. I pull out a textbook from my bag, which makes George groan with annoyance.

"You and your books!" He jokes, grabbing it from my hands. "Who cares about the planet Mercury?"

"You should, if you want to pass the exam on Wednesday." I say as I take the book back.

"Right. Forgot about that one. Why don't you help me study?" He asks, sitting closer to me and reaching his arm around my waist.

"Are you going to behave?" I ask as he smiles deviously at me.

He leans in to kiss me, then quickly comments, "From now on I will." I giggle, turning my attention back to the planets and trying to explain to him the basics of the class. "Right, I'm positively lost."

He shuts the book, carefully putting it back in my bag and pulling me closer.

"Hey!" I complain lightheartedly.

He leans in to whisper in my ear. "I love you, Mira."

"I love you too, Georgie." I whisper back. He kisses me gently, but I pull away. "I won't love you as much if I flunk my exam, though."

He feigns offense, bringing a hand to his heart as I giggle. I sigh as I realize he won't let me study at the moment, pushing away from him and telling him I had to shower.

"I'll join you!" He says excitedly.

"No, you won't" I push him away, giggling at his excitement.

"C'mon. It's not anything I haven't seen before." He grumbles.

"George!" My ears turn pink.

"Come on, grab a change of clothes and meet me here. We'll go to the prefect's bathroom." He pushes me forward, shoving my bag in my hand. I shake my head in disbelief but agree to go with him. I grab my pajamas from my bed, excitement starting to fill me.

George is back in the common room before I am, smiling as he sees me descend the staircase. He picks me up and carries me piggyback to the fifth floor, where we enter the bathroom as we both bite back laughter.

He turns a shower on, waiting for the water to get warm. He slowly undresses himself, then focuses on undressing me. He kisses me gently, only once, before he pulls away. "Water should be warm by now." He pulls me with him, turning me so he faces my back.

He lets the warm water run down my back, softly massaging my shoulders as he does so. He reaches over and grabs some shampoo, gently beginning to wash my hair. He hums a calming tune as he does, never letting his hands wander. His touch is both exhilarating and calming; I feel at ease.

When he finishes washing my hair, he turns me to face him. He hands me a bar of soap and begins to wash his own hair. He smiles at me sweetly, filling my stomach with butterflies.

"Georgie?" I ask, just louder than a breath.

"Yes, my beautiful girl?"

I don't know what I wanted to say. I place my hand on chest and kiss him quickly, before turning away and washing my body. He lets out a low whistle and I laugh out loud. When we finish washing, we dry ourselves off and dress while talking about everything and nothing.

"Want to come to my room?" He asks as we make our way to our dormitory.

"Now that Fred and Lee know about... well... I don't want them to be uncomfortable." I mumble, not wanting to hurt his feelings.

"Those gits ruin everything!" He jokes. He leads me to the girl's staircase, kissing me tenderly before sending me off to bed.

I cuddle my pillow, laying on my side as I try to fall asleep. I can't help but smile, knowing the kindest boy at Hogwarts would be waiting for me downstairs tomorrow morning.
