A/N: Hello readers!! Yesterday, it came to my attention that no one received a notification from Wattpad that I posted a chapter or made announcements on my feed until many hours later (some never got a notification at all). If you want to keep up with the story, I highly suggest following me on Instagram. I post a chapter every single day because I know you guys enjoy it, and I want to thank you for your support. I hope you enjoy the rest of the book!

"Mira!" Adrian calls after me. "Hey, come on, babe." I feel him grab my shoulder, and he pulls me to a stop.
"Don't touch me!" I shout, grasping at his hand. Tears blur my vision, and I feel him wrap an arm around my hips. He lifts me and carries me to his room, and I sob as I slap against his back.
He slams the door behind him and sets me down on the ground. "Please, Mira. Just listen to me. I've only done it twice... maybe three times since we've been back. You have to believe me."
I can't respond right away. I feel so small in front of him, I feel so completely stupid. "Why didn't you tell me?" I cry.
"I didn't want to worry you... or scare you. My love, it was just a stupid mistake. I'll never do it again. I'll flush it right now."
"Then do it." I say.
He pulls the bag out of his pocket and shows it to me; he walks to the bathroom and I follow him as I wipe my eyes. I watch him drop the bag in the toilet and flush it in the same moment. He walks over to me and places his hands in my hair, at the nape of my neck. "I'm sorry." He whispers, kissing my forehead.
"How could I possibly trust you after this?" I raise my voice and push away from him.
His voice is thick. "It was a mistake, I know. I should have never done it. That's why I don't want you to ever try it." His eyes grow glossy.
I take a deep breath, trying to calm the tsunami of emotions that had come with this betrayal. I realize this situation shouldn't even be about me; this is about Adrian. "How can I help you with this?" I say, looking into his eyes. It feels as if my heart is ripped in two.
This explains his strange behavior, his outbursts. I hate him for this, but I know it wasn't completely his choice. My hands shake as I wipe my eyes once more. I stand a bit straighter, turning to him and throwing my shoulders back.
"Before our holiday, when we started dating... I didn't even think about doing it. You mean so much more to me than that ever has." He says, taking a step closer to me.
"You have to tell me these things." I shake as I tell him. He walks towards me slowly, forcing me to sit on his bed.
He sits next to me and takes a deep breath. "I'm an idiot. I know it. But I love you. And you don't know how badly it hurts me to see you this way."
"How can I help you?" I echo. My body goes numb once more; my head begins to throb with pain.
"You don't have to." He pauses. "How can I make this up to you? I'll do anything." He begs, placing his hand on my knee. I push him off lightly.
"You're not listening to me. You don't have to make anything up to me. I just want to help you, love. I know there has to be a way I can." I say.
His hand hovers between us, but he pulls it back to his own body. "I love you, my beauty. Just spending time with you is all the help I need." A silence hovers over us as I sniffle and wipe my eyes. "What are you thinking?"
"I don't know what I'm thinking." I tell him. I turn and lean into his chest. He carefully wraps his arms around my waist, unsure if he can touch me or not.
