I wake in the early morning; Adrian still sleeps in my arms. I shake him awake as gently as I can. His eyelids flutter, and his sleepy green eyes lock with mine.
"I'll be off soon. I just wanted to let you know before I left." I whisper.
He smiles. "Alright, dear. I hope you have fun." He kisses my lips lightly and allows me to get out of bed without a fuss. I dress in the most casual clothing I have here, jeans and a cotton long sleeve, and get ready for the day.
Adrian stands and pulls on a pair of pajama pants, staying shirtless as he grabs the bag of Floo powder for me. There is a fireplace in my room, but he walks me to it anyway; he kisses my forehead before I step into it. "The Burrow!" I call, and in a rush of green flames Adrian disappears from in front of me.
I land in the living room of the Burrow, stepping out of the fireplace carefully. The house is oddly quiet; I hear only a few pots and pans banging in the kitchen. I walk there quietly, seeing Mrs. Weasley with her back towards me.
"Molly?" I say quietly. She turns quickly, a large smile breaking out on her face.
"Mira! Oh, how are you my dear? We've all missed you so much. Everyone is asleep upstairs, go ahead and wake them up. They'll be thrilled!" She pulls me into a tight hug and then sends me on my way. I smile as I make my way to the rooms upstairs.
I make my first stop at the twins room, my heart pounding at the idea of seeing them both. I open the door quickly, before I can change my mind, and jump into the bed closest to the door.
Fred startles and sits up, swinging. I narrowly escape his fist, and it takes a moment for him to recognize me. "Mira? What the bloody hell are you doing here?" He says as he pulls me in for a hug.
"You're the one who sent the Floo powder!" I laugh as I hug him back.
"What's all this?" I hear behind me. I turn, and my heart stops beating.
"Hi Georgie," I whisper, climbing out of Fred's bed and walking towards George. He smiles and slides out of his bed, reaching out to hug me. His touch is comforting, but I pull away only a second later.
"Stay here for a second before you go see Ginny, yeah? Talk to us." Fred says, grabbing my hand and pulling me to sit on his bed.
George comes up and sits next to me, sandwiching me between the boys. "What do you want me to talk about?" I ask.
"Don't be a dunce, tell us about... his house." Fred answers. George's cheeks grow pink, and he turns away from me.
I look at Fred to answer. "Erm, it's beautiful. Very old, very manicured."
"And his parents? More stiff than he is?" Fred asks.
I look to my fingers, interlocking them with one another. "Yeah." I whisper.
"Are you having fun?" George asks, touching my hand lightly. I nod, but do not speak.
"You're lying." Fred whispers, nudging my shoulder with his elbow.
"I don't hate it there, honest. I just..." I trail off as my eyes begin to burn, "I just feel like I have to act like I'm something I'm not."
To my surprise, George pulls me in to his chest; he allows me to cry and rubs my back lightly. Nobody speaks, and I do not pull away from his embrace.
After a moment, Fred speaks behind me. "Why haven't you told us this, Mira? You could have written to us."
"It's not unbearable; I swear it. I am having fun there. They're kind to me." I sniffle, sitting up and wiping my eyes.
