A/N: Thank you for 10k reads! Your support means the world to me, I am beyond ecstatic!
I also wanted to say that I've intentionally written this story so that no one is perfect. Just like real people, all of these characters make mistakes and have lapses of judgement. Please don't send me hate for not making them perfect; that's not how real people are.
Thank you for supporting me and my writing, I hope you enjoy the following chapters!!

A week has passed since George has gifted me the necklace. Quidditch season was almost over now, to everyone's dismay. On the bright side, there were only a few weeks until Christmas break began. Until then, I plan on maintaining my daily routine, which has become second nature now.
Try to ignore Adrian in Divination, sit with George in every class, and then do homework while George has quidditch practice. He has practice every single day after dinner, which is something we both complain about; we haven't had a moment alone together since our date. Even at night, we are both too tired to do anything but sleep in our own rooms.
It's Monday evening, and I am in the library. I sit with my Potions book spread open, trying to memorize the uses of gillyweed. I read the same line three times, blinking heavily. I slam my book closed, starting to pack my things up before I fall asleep. A hand slams onto my book before I can put it in my bag.
I look up and find Adrian, a smug grin on his lips. "What, you've forgotten me already?" He jokes, handing me my book. I roll my eyes, taking the book from his grasp.
"I haven't spoken to George yet, alright? I haven't had the time."
"Haven't had the time? Don't you see my heart is on the line?" He raises a hand to his chest, feigning pain.
"You told me you just wanted to be friends."
"I digress. I just want to spend time with you. If we call it friendship, then we call it friendship." He winks, reaching out to touch me.
I push his hand away. "I'm serious Adrian. Just friends, or nothing at all." My chest aches as I tell him.
"Alright." He helps me pack my things, but I tell him to go.
"I'll talk to George and tell you what he thinks. Good or bad. Just go, alright?"
He begins to protest but is cut off by a quiet voice. I feel an arm wrap around my shoulder, a clear voice speaking. The vibrations of his deep tone reverberate in my shoulders.
"Is he bothering you?" Cedric asks.
My cheeks turn a bright shade of pink. I freeze, unable to move under the weight of his arm. Adrian begins to laugh, and I stutter out an answer, "N-no. Cedric, I-I'm fine. Really."
"Wow Diggory, here to save the day?" Adrian says darkly, staring at Cedric's arm around my shoulder.
"Guys, it's fine. There's no reason to create something out of nothing." I finally shy away from Cedric's touch, leaning down to grab my bookbag. "I'm going to go find my boyfriend." I intentionally drag out my sentence, turning away from the boys and running away.
I climb into my common room, surprised to see Fred on the couch. He waves to me, and I rush to go sit with him. I ask him where George is, and he tells me he's up in his room. Before I can go up to see George, Fred holds me down on the couch by my shoulder.
"Why the rush, Mira? I haven't spoken to you in ages!" He grumbles.
I laugh, asking him how he and Angelina were doing. He smiles, going into details about their relationship. She was currently cross with him for selling his special cakes to fourth years, telling him off because they were too young.
