When I wake up, Adrian's strong arms hold me tight to his chest. My legs are bare under the sheets, but he radiates a safe warmth that keeps me from the cold.
I shake him awake gently. "Adrian?" I ask. His eyes flutter, and he mumbles something quiet to me. I shake him once more, and he finally opens his eyes.
"Are you alright, my beauty?" He asks. I nod my head slowly. "I have something for you." He whispers to me.
"What do you mean?" I ask, wiping the sleep from my eyes.
He smiles, sitting up and reaching to the table next to the bed. He hands me a box, without a word. I slowly lift the lid, finding a purple square locket inside.
"It's beautiful!" I say, smiling lightly.
"It's ghastly." He responds.
"No! Actually, it's quite pretty. It's so ornate." I say, examining the carved object. "Honestly, I think it's lovely."
"I think you're lovely. But I'm glad, my love. It was my great grandmothers. I went home last night and remembered I wanted to give it to you." He says, kissing my forehead. A family heirloom? Why was he giving this to me now?
I catch his cheek, lifting my face to kiss him on the lips. He kisses me back gingerly, not moving from where he sits. I drop the box, shifting to face him completely. I climb onto his lap, kissing him passionately.
His hands fly to my back and rub under my jumper feverishly. I lift my shirt off, exposing myself to him.
"What are you doing, love?" He asks, his eyes narrowed with lust.
I move to his neck, kissing him gently. He lets out a breathy gasp, exciting me. "Come on. Last night I didn't get to help you out. It's been too long, hasn't it?" I ask into his skin.
I crave his touch, I know it's been too long for the both of us. He brings a hand to my neck, squeezing lightly. His other hand grasps my thigh, gently leaving a trail of fire on my bare skin.
I tug at his shirt, lifting it up. My hands rub against his solid abs, and I move to his jaw. I kiss him right under his ear, where I know is his weakest spot.
He groans, moving his hands to my hips. He shifts me, moving me to straddle his thigh. He moves my hips, rubbing me against his leg. I moan lightly, and he begins to kiss me.
As difficult as it is, I pull away. "You had your fun with me yesterday. It's my turn." I whisper. I push him down, moving to his pants. I unbuckle them, stroking him gently. I bring him to my mouth, and he bucks his hips and pushes his entire length down my throat. I gag, but I allow him to keep going. He slowly thrusts into me, but only a minute later he slides out.
"Get on your back." He says. I comply, quickly laying down and lifting my arms to wrap around his neck. He lifts one of my legs, and brings his fingers to my entrance. He fingers me slowly, moving to kiss me all over my body. "Merlin. You are beyond amazing, my love. I love you so much."
I blush, unable to answer him. My body moans and is weak at his touch. He smiles at me, pumping himself and removing his fingers from inside of me.
He pushes into me slowly, groaning and gripping my waist tightly. My leg presses against his chest and my ankle lands on his shoulder, and he begins to thrust into me.
He is tame with his strokes; I know he is trying to not hurt me. I look down and see he doesn't even enter me fully.
I reach down and grasp his back, pulling him deeper into me. He moans loudly, shutting his eyes. His momentum grows faster, and I cry out at his pace.
"Godric, you're so huge. You feel so good inside of me." I whisper in his ear. He goes ever faster, and I can feel a deep heat spread throughout me.
"You're amazing. Good girl, taking all of me at once." He says, his voice just above a growl. His breaths become quick and shallow; a grunt escapes his lips every few strokes.
He leans back, looking down at my body as he enters me. I gasp, shaking under his touch. I feel myself release, but he continues to thrust into me, leaning to kiss me once more.
"Godric, yes. Oh, Adrian, keep going." I whimper. I claw against his back, digging my nails into his skin.
He thrusts even harder, and it hurts a bit. I bite my tongue, and his thrusts grow messy and sporadic. He slows a bit, entering me with his entire length quickly and then slowly pulling out each time.
He takes a deep breath, and soon stops his motion. We both try to catch our breath, and he smiles at me. He lays next to me, waving his wand haphazardly as he performs our usual spells.
"You're incredible." He whispers to me.
"I love you, Adrian. I love you so much, no matter what. We can work through anything." I tell him, tears forming in my eyes. "I was selfish, before. I didn't think about how you were feeling." I whisper, wiping my eyes.
"I'm alright." He answers, stroking my hair.
"You can tell me if you're not. You... you're a victim here." I say, unsure of my words.
"I said I'm fine." He pauses, "I didn't want to tell you this just yet, but I already sorted things with my father." He says, his fingertips dancing on my shoulder absentmindedly.
"What did he say?" I ask, bringing the sheets up to cover me. He obviously wasn't going to address what I had said right now.
He pauses, not answering right away. "He was upset at first, of course. But I think we've worked something out."
"And... Victoria?" I ask, not wanting to speak of her.
"She shouldn't be a problem." He says. I reach up and hug him, wincing lightly when my wrist hits his back. "What's wrong?" He asks quickly.
"My wrist, it hurts a little. Perhaps I should have slept with the sling on." I chuckle.
He pulls me closer to him, lifting my hand softly. He kisses my wrist, and looks up to me. He doesn't say anything, and I blush.
"You're gorgeous. I'm sorry, baby." He says.
I don't want to answer, but he needs to know that this wasn't his doing. "You don't need to be sorry." I whisper.
"I know you remember my last promise. I feel like I've already broken it." He groans, looking away.
I look to him, and pull him into a hug. He lays his head on my chest and rubs my arm lightly. "You haven't. This wasn't your fault, I understand." I whisper, blinking away tears. I begin to play with his hair, and he moves to look at me.
"Let's get dressed. I want to take you somewhere." He tells me.
I smile. "Where?" I ask, lightly dragging my nails against the bare skin of his arm.
His face perks up lightly, and a small grin fights its way onto his lips. "Can it be a surprise?"
I nod, and he kisses my cheek. We climb out of bed and get dressed. I decide against the sling, but throw on the clothes I had worn yesterday. We exit the room, and he takes my hand. As we stroll down the hall, I rest my head on his arm.
We walk down the stone steps, towards the entrance of the castle. We exit through the massive double doors, moving down the dirt path toward the grounds. He doesn't answer me when I ask where we're going, but tells me I'm going to love it.
We reach the quidditch pitch, and he brings me to the broom shed. "What are we doing?" I ask, watching him come out of the shed with two brooms.
"We're riding today. It'll be fun, won't it?" He says, grinning from ear to ear. I smile widely as I nod and take the broom from him, walking towards the pitch. "Nothing crazy, alright? No more injuries."
I grin up at him. "Last one to the pitch is rotten egg." I break out into a sprint, but he quickly catches up to me.
We reach the entrance together, climbing onto the brooms and taking off without a glance back. The rush of air feels calming against my skin, and for the first time in a while, I feel at ease.
