Fred and Lee burst into the room, waking me. I sit up quickly, finding my head was resting on George's lap. He had taken to reading a magazine, and he sets it down as I rub the sleep from my eyes.

"Thanks lads! I was starved." I say, jumping up to grab one of the many plates the boys had brought. I yawn into my hand as I eat a strip of bacon, which makes the boys chuckle. "Did I sleep long?" I ask the group.

"Half an hour maximum, however long it took the elves to cook all of this." Fred shrugs, shoveling an egg sandwich into his mouth.

I giggle at the sight, and we all eat together in contempt. A gentle patter of rain begins to hit the window, and I move from George's bed to sit at Lee's desk; the desk had a perfect view out of the turret to the lake.

The rain is so calming, so beautiful now. The group remains quiet, eating and sipping pumpkin juice. "It's nearly three o'clock." Lee complains, setting his plate down. "We haven't really done anything today, come on let's not waste a Saturday."

"We were supporting our sister through a very difficult and trying time." Fred says, mocking offense.

"Yeah real difficult, she's a bloody mess isn't she?" Lee replies, walking over to slap Fred in the back of the head.

I reflect on his words. In all honesty, I had surprised even myself. I had cried in the shower, sure, but other than that I have held my composure pretty well. I worry at the thought that the reality of what's happened will hit me later, when I least expect it, and that it will blow my emotions completely apart.

"Let's go outside." I mention, and the boys only laugh.

"Yeah, in the rain." Fred scoffs, shoving a powdered donut into his mouth.

"Why not? It could be fun, couldn't it?" Lee says. I look over to George, who has been quiet during this entire exchange.

"Yeah, sure. We can muck about in the mud." George smiles, standing and grabbing a thick brown sweater from his drawer. To my surprise, he throws it at me instead of pulling it on.

"Thanks George." I tell him, my cheeks pink. Fred and Lee start to pull on their sweaters and I turn away from George to put his on.

Once we're all dressed, we descend the stairs. Fred leads the way, followed by George and then me; Lee trails behind.

We reach the grand double doors of the castle in what feels like seconds, and we falter. "Are we sure we want to do this? It's coming down pretty hard now." Lee asks, looking at the rain falling heavily on the pavement.

"Mira wants to play in the rain like little school children, so I'm sure. And now you are too!" Fred shouts, pushing Lee into the rain.

Lee grabs Fred's sleeve and pulls him into the rain with him, and they both laugh. George smiles at the scene and then looks at me, tilting his head towards the boys.

"What if we just left them out here? How long do you reckon it would take before they noticed?" George asks me, the smile still on his lips.

"Come on." I say, grabbing his hand and leading him towards our friends.

The rain is cold and almost instantly seeps through my clothes, but I look up and try to catch raindrops in my mouth. I soon am lifted by someone and turn to see who it is; I find Fred beneath me laughing heartily.

The group runs past the pavement and to the dirt paths that lead to the quidditch pitch, stopping when the mud gets too deep. Fred throws me to the ground, and I land on my back in the middle of the mud.

I grab his ankle and he trips, landing next to me. We laugh and move to stand together, Lee waving his wand at us to clean the mud off. The rain hits us hard but we- at least I- don't mind it.

The rain is relaxing and the sounds of the boys playing and throwing mud are comforting. I feel something hit my back and I turn my head, seeing George bent over with laughter.

"Very funny, is it?" I shout, picking up a pile of wet mud and chucking it at him. It flops to the ground mere inches from me; George's laughter only grows louder.

Fred throws a ball of mud to me, and it hits me square in the cheek. Now, all the boys laugh. Slightly annoyed, I wave my wand to clean myself up, the rain helping slightly.

I raise my wand and several balls of mud rise from the ground and hit the boys in the chest, causing them to fall over. It's my turn to laugh, and they all scowl at me. "Not as funny when I'm the victim!" Lee calls out as he slips in the mud whilst trying to stand back up.

"Alright, let's go back inside." I giggle, running in front of them to avoid any try of revenge. They catch up to me in seconds, and George wraps an arm around my shoulder.

"How are you feeling, buttercup?" He asks, lowering his head closer to my ear.

I nod lightly, looking slightly at him. "Better now, but still a bit unsure I suppose." I tell him, smiling a bit.

The rain continues to pound down on us as we walk, and George doesn't move his arm from around me. Lee and Fred walk behind us, chuckling about something I can't hear. It feels nice to be with the boys like this; the last few times we had hung out together had this same feeling as well.

We reach the cobblestone steps of the main entrance, sopping wet and shivering. George waves his wand in front of me, and I find I am bone dry a second later. He waves the wand over each of us, drying us and allowing us to recover from the cold.

"That was fun, wasn't it?" Lee asks, ruffling my hair.

"Mira, can I pull you for a chat?" George asks, his face suddenly serious. Nervously, I look to Lee and Fred. They smile lightly; Lee grabs Fred's arm and pulls him to the steps, winking to George when he thinks I can't see them any longer.

"Right, what's going on?" I ask George, looking up to look in his eyes.

"Not here. Follow me." He says, grabbing my hand lightly. I don't move at first, afraid of where he would lead me. "Only talking, I swear it." He pleads, crossing a hand over his heart.

I nod, taking a step closer to him. We walk quietly. We reach a backdoor of the castle and he throws it open; it bangs loudly against the stone behind it.

We giggle, and he leads me to the greenhouses. He pulls me into the first one; it houses some herbs used for medicine. Whilst they were not the most beautiful, the smell that filled the room was amazing.

"I haven't been in this one that much; the smell is lovely, isn't it?" I ask, walking up to the wall and bringing a hanging vine closer to my face.

"Careful there, some of these things can spray out." He warns, walking up behind me. He places a hand on the small of my back, reaching over me to smell the leaves himself.

I look up at him. His jaw is so strong and square, he truly has a perfectly set face. He was so pure, so kind; it radiated from every bit of him. I can't call him perfect; there were more faults in his actions than I could count on my hand.

Anxiously, I place a hand on his shoulder. "What did you want to speak about?" I ask, my voice quivering slightly.

He drops the vine and looks to the ground. I can see his Adam's apple move as he swallows. "Erm, well..." He pauses. "I just want to tell you my intentions. I know that we aren't dating, but some day in the future I would like to be. I love you, Mira. Always have."

He looks up to meet my gaze, but now I look to the ground. "I know what you mean, George. It'll take time." I whisper.

"I know plenty of blokes want you. Just know that no matter what happens, I will be here for you. I will love you no matter what. We'll always be friends." He says, placing his hand on my chin lightly.

I pull away. "I'm not going to kiss you yet." I answer.

"Yet? Sounds promising." He smirks, picking a small yellow flower from a vine and placing it in my hair.
