Rivers P.o.V
"So with alcohol after all?", she asked, sobbing.
I looked into her eyes, they were still the same blue, but this time something was different. They were filled with emotions that did her no good. All the pain in her eyes made me think. She really seems to be done. My gaze wandered to her hair, which hung stringily in her face. She was pale, I think even paler than ever.
I composed myself.
"Sometimes there's no other way... Besides... only a pig drinks alone.... let's get drunk together alone."
"Okay.", she whimpered, tapping the bed beside her.
Grinning, I threw myself on the bed next to her. "Be glad, at least that asshole said goodbye to you."
"Pff...", she muttered, opening the bottle. "Will you make sure I don't drink too much?"
"I won't stop you from drinking as much as you need," I muttered as I drank from it myself. "Besides, you need to loosen up and test your limits."
Inwardly, though, I decided to pay a little attention anyway.
"Whatever you say.", she toasted and took a few sips.
Grinning, I watched her half-choke on it.
"Don't give me that stupid grin." she coughed.
Lucy's P.o.V.
"I never grin.", he replied grumbling and the expression on his face was exchanged for a neutral one.
"Alright... So... Tell me something or it'll be boring."
"If you put your shirt back on and I don't get further distracted by your bells, I'd love to.", unaffected, he continued to drink.
Grumbling, I looked for it, but didn't find it. "It's not there. And don't look!"
"Look where? To Karly or Karo?"
"Stop that!", I whined, turning my back on him. Smirking, he turned away and held out his arm. "Oh... is that what you're looking for?"
"Yep. Thanks," I reached for it as I took another sip.
"You might want to put it on too?"
I quickly pulled it on "So... tell me something..."
"What do you want to know?" He replied dismissively, looking at the half-empty bottle before taking another sip. "I don't know... I don't dare ask anything with you.... I'm afraid you'll be so dismissive or angry then..."
"The proof of the pudding is in the eating." He replied with a shrug and put his phone aside.
"Why do you think I was just so curious about Alison? Did you think I knew her?"
I sipped something from the bottle and didn't look at him.
"Why else would someone, ask someone like me about this person..."
"Right.... That was weird," I sighed "Your turn."
Silently, he drank and looked at his watch. "I'm rather less interested in what you have to say."
"Oh... Well then...", I silently lay down in bed and looked at the ceiling. Silently, he reached for his cell phone and got up to go out.
So I stayed put and continued drinking alone. "River... We could see each other more often..."
"We could... if we wanted to." With those words, he disappeared for good and retreated to the kitchen to continue drinking.
The next morning I came out of the room with a hangover. The night was rough. I can't say the alcohol hadn't helped, it let me sleep, but it wasn't a nice feeling. The intoxication would never fill the void in my heart either.

"Simple...you take them Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and I take them Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday as usual...", annoyed I looked at Keith as he was about to start arguing again.
"Good morning," suddenly murmured a bright voice, it was very quiet and hoarse. She held her obviously aching head and squinted her eyes. As she took a step forward, she bumped her knee on the armchair and hissed. She was having a shit day and it had just begun.
I gave Keith another warning look before getting up and walking outside, not paying any further attention to her in any way.
Lucy's P.o.V.
"Morning." Keith mumbled, dropping his head on the tabletop.
I sat down next to him and cleared my throat. I crossed my arms and raised an eyebrow. I must have looked terrible. "What were you guys talking about...?"
"About the division of how we're going to take care of you in the future." He grumbled before standing up and getting a cup of coffee.
"You don't have to... I can take care of myself alone."
"Has been seen in the past, after all." He retorted sarcastically and drank from the hot cup.
"Pff," I grumbled. "I have to go to work...", I breathed and got up and went outside to let Kai pick me up.
