Lucys P.o.V
I looked out from under the blanket and turned bright red, I must have been staring at him for too long.... Oops.

"Okay... what's going on? You've been acting so weird since yesterday...", he grumbled annoyed and leaned against the wall, still clothesless.

I quickly looked away.

"Nothing... It's okay... Can you get dressed?", I asked bright red.

"If I didn't know better, I'd think you had the hots for me.", he muttered as he dropped the towel and got dressed.

"Pffff.", I wavered, but my eyes betrayed that he was right.

He eyed me suspiciously before crossing his arms in front of his chest and gratefully accepting the coldness of the wall.

"What are you looking at me like that for?", I asked uncertainly.

I looked him in the eye every now and then, then at the floor.
Fuck he was right. I love Colin. But I am in love with River. You've got to be kidding me.

"You get nervous when I bring it up, you stare at me and snuggle up to me... how do you think that affects me?"

"Stop making assertions!", I shouted in frustration.

"I wasn't making assertions, I was making observations.", he replied calmly, holding me in my gaze.

"Stop it!", I looked at him sheepishly.

"With what? Making assumptions that you then confirm with your behavior?"

"I'm not!"

"You're red as a tomato, staring at me the whole time, but trying not to look me in the eye. You scratch your neck insecurely and get muddled when you speak... those are just confirmations, kiddo."

"Stop that... Please River... I don't know."

"Mmm... you know perfectly well, you just don't want to admit it, that maybe you didn't love Colin as much as you thought you did."

"You miserable pig.", I threw the nearest thing at him.... A pillow, which he caught easily.

"Anger... the next sign. Watch out, next comes despair and then grief."

Smirking, he threw the pillow back and then strolled outside. Desperate, I ran after him.

"You're out of your mind!!!"

"I'm right and we both know it."

Motivated, he went into the kitchen and took iced coffee out of the fridge.

"You didn't!", I took the iced coffee from his hand and drank from it provocatively.

"Let your emotions run wild.", he playfully retorted.

River took the coffee from me again before sipping it unapologetically and walking into the common room, where there was no sign of Kai and Keith. Grumbling, I went to grab a coffee as well, but there was none left, the jerk just drank the last of it.

"Can I have another drink?", I asked in a tone that resembled that of a sanctimonious child.

So I went after him.

"No... I need to process this first, that you're playing with the idea of cheating on your boyfriend.", he said, finishing his drink.

"I'm not playing with the idea! Besides, he told me to find someone new!!!", I yelled at him angrily.

"Ouh the anger is back, did I hit a nerve?", he took a breath, aghast. "You're actually playing with the idea."

Laughing, he held his stomach and tried to calm down. Patsch. I looked at him, annoyed. I hoped the slap brought him to his senses.

"But now I'll get a blowjob for that as compensation."

Grinning, he winked at me, when suddenly the sound of a cup shattering sounded behind us and Brick stood shocked in the doorway.

"You're completely nuts, River," I growled.

"Fuck, what did you do to him.", muttered Brick in shock as Rive watched him warily with his eyes, his mask back up.

"I didn't do anything.", I sighed annoyed.

"Can you go?"

"I haven't seen him show emotion in years...oh my god, you're an angel!"

Rivers P.o.V
"Fuck off...what are you even doing here?", I said as coldly as ever, making a mental note to myself to pay more attention to keeping the wall up again.

Lucy looked at me briefly, raised an eyebrow, and then walked away quickly.

"I've had enough of this. Whether you go today or not."

"If you go today, you're on your own from then on, and I'll never play protector again."

"Why are you so shitty?", she grumbled and sat down next to me to steal my cell phone.

"Those who love each other, tease each other.", Brick interjected and dropped into the other seat next to me.

"Just shut up.", Lucy hissed bright red and tried to unlock my phone.

Silently, I reached for my phone, not really paying attention to their conversation anymore. She would sometimes look at me briefly, then provocatively put her feet on my lap and thus my hands and cell phone.
Annoyed, I looked at her before pulling my arms out and continuing to text.
She bit her lower and upper jaws together and snatched my phone away.

"I'm going to bug you now, as long as you volunteer to go with me".

"Try it and you'll never be allowed to go anywhere again."

Annoyed, I reached into her back pocket and retrieved my phone.

"You're not my father!", she hissed.

"But your chaperone, and you can't go anywhere without me, so you're in my hands."

Smirking, Brick walked out of the room and disappeared somewhere.

"Please...", she asked again.

"Nope... Except...", a diabolical grin stole onto my face.

"Unless what?", she asked with a smirk, still lying on my lap, I noticed she was very light.

"Unless you do me a favor."

"Which is?"

"Make suggestions."

"I buy you a drink?"

"Lame..."

"You are lame.", she hissed. " I know what you want... But I won't let you play with me...", she breathed, however I saw in her eyes, just the opposite, she was literally crying out for touch.
