Colin's P.o.V.
"I trust you!" she whimpered.

"You're so sure of that? I'm not very good at controlling myself.... You've only known me for a day and you trust me that much? I'd be more careful if I were you.... Besides, you seem to forget about Keith." I said thoughtfully.

"You're the first one who didn't call me names... and you're the first one who respects me and doesn't scare me away...", she breathed softly.

Lucy's P.o.V.
I listened to his heart, closing my eyes.

"I'll learn to get along with him".

"Try it at least one night... he's really not bad, sometimes he even has a bit of humor. And in between you also have your peace when he is studying. But the neighborhood where I live is just no place for such a person as you."

"No.. I don't want to... Please... Don't pass me around like an object.... It's alright. I don't have value, but I don't need much.... I don't eat often... I'm not annoying... I'll pay you... Please..."

"That's not what this is about.... I'm about your safety, which just isn't guaranteed when you stay with me.... a single night... no more.", he sighed.

"Thank you...", I looked at him out of deep sadness.

"Is that a yes?"

"Do I have any other choice...?", I whimpered.

"Okay, I'll call him right now."

With those words, he stood up and dialed Kai's number.

Colin's P.o.V.
I fixed everything with him and then stepped in front of her again.

"He's looking forward to seeing you," I smiled and squatted in front of the girl who was chewing uncomfortably on her lower lip.

A soft sigh escaped me before I turned her face to me and looked deep into her eyes.

"You understand why I don't want you to live with me?"

"For the same reason my father didn't. Because I'm not planned. I barged in and broke everything," her eyes began to glaze over.

"You're not even listening to me," I whined in frustration, breaking away from my Snow White.

I was just about to kisse her, luckily I had come to my senses in time.

"No... You don't listen to me and you don't trust me to be okay in your world, but you're the first person, in 16 years, that I feel safe with..." her big eyes filled with tears looked at me innocently and vulnerably.

"If you're going to cry just because I tell you that you can't live with me, how are you going to get along in this world where murder and rape are on the daily schedule?"

"I will..." she said meekly.

I gently stroked her shoulder, she looked deep into my eyes.

"Sure... I have some complexes, but I don't want to get away from you..." she started a discussion again.

"I'll take you to Kai for now...", I sighed and reached out my hand to pull her to her feet.

"I need my clothes though..." she mumbled quietly to herself.

"We can buy you new clothes, too."

"All I need is at home..."

"You'll probably go a day without it all. So come on."

We came to the rich district where Kai's house was.

"I'll drop by tomorrow, if you don't like it, we'll organize something new," I suggested.
