Colin's P.o.V.
"Hey, how's it going?", I asked.
"Colin... I like the people here, but I-I want to see you, I want to see you. I swear I'd just stay in the safe place. I wouldn't cause you any problems..."
"Is Kai nice to you?", I asked, not really paying attention to her answer, wiping the sweat off my face with a towel.
I had just finished my last fight for today for now.
"Yeah, is he... What are you doing? You're breathing so fast..." she breathed nervously.
"I was just working out and I'm still a little out of breath."
"Are you coming to see me...?"
"I'll stop by tomorrow."
"Okay... Colin... I..." the began, then fell silent for a moment and almost to herself.
"...miss you..."
"Then I don't think I want to know how much you'll miss Kai when you...", I spoke, but was interrupted.
"Colin! You have to go in again!" a heavily panting blonde interrupted me as she gestured wildly.
Lucy's P.o.V.
I pressed the red receiver and, hurt, handed the phone to Kai, ran upstairs and lay down in bed.
Kai's P.o.V
I looked confused at Ryan and then ran after the girl upstairs to her room.
"Hey, are you okay?"
"He... He... I heard someone else with him.... Well... I guess they had..." she whimpered, burying her face in the cushion.
"What, who did you hear?", I asked, confused, opening the door all the way and sitting down on the bed with her.
"Another girl... I quote... You need to go back in... She was snorting really hard. "
"He's got to go in what? Huh? Since when does he have anything to do with girls again? Wait I'll give him a call," I suggested.
"No... Let him..." she gave a short snort and pulled the blanket over her. "I need my school stuff... And my other stuff... They're at home though..." she distracted herself.
Colin's P.o.V.
A loud dial tone rang out as Kai dialed my number and put the phone on loud.
"Hey Kai, Colin is busy right now, what's up?" a female voice rang out.
Lucy's P.o.V
Kai slowly put his hand on my arm and pulled it away from my ears.
"What's he busy with right now? Wait. What are those sounds?"
He turned up the volume a little, aghast.
"He promised me he was going to stop!"
I immediately jerked back in fear, no one was supposed to touch me, no one.
"He's in the ring...," Blondie said meekly, as loud shrieks and cheers rang out, making it hard to understand the speaker.
"And the winner is..."
"Who won dammit? Who did he fight?!" asked Kai, agitated.
I became more attentive and looked at Kai with wide eyes.
"He fought... Ace Bentos..." the woman said.
His breath caught in his throat when he heard that, and for a moment it seemed like he froze into a statue.
"Did he win?", his voice was like a breeze as he stared at the wall with huge eyes.
"What kind of fights?", I had no idea about violence except my father's.
Kai's P.o.V.
"Hey, what are you doing on my phone?"
Relieved, I noted that this jerk was fine.
"It rang and I-" began Blondie.
"Hello? Who is this?" sighed Colin, out of breath.
Lucy looked at me and then at the cell phone, she had no clue what that meant.
"Did you ever stop doing that, you asshole?" my voice was clenched as my body shook with tension.
"Kai."
Colin seemed surprised and somehow tried to formulate words that didn't come out.
"Did you ever stop doing that?", I repeated more urgently, trying to calm myself down so as not to go straight to him and punch him in the face.
A soft sigh sounded on the other side before he finally answered.
"No... But you have to understand... you don't get that much money out of the deals because I have to give Keith a cut too.... And I need the cash..."
Excuses upon excuses.... disappointed, I pinched the bridge of my nose.
"So did that Tim guy die for nothing back then? I really would have thought you would have learned from that," I hissed before hanging up and stalling him.
He was such an asshole! I ran my hands through my hair in frustration before addressing my next words to the teenager.
"No matter what he ever said to you, just forget it, he never keeps his word," with those words I stood up and walked down to Ryan.
Lucy's P.o.V.
The next day everything went on its usual course. I sat in school just waiting for the bell to ring, which it did after a few minutes. I got up and ran out, behind me I heard some voices and swear words, when I was in the parking lot I looked around and was planning my escape route when all of a sudden I heard Colin's voice.
Colin's p.o.v.
"Like you didn't bring the fucking cash?", I hissed, pressing the guy against the wall by the neck as he jerked in panic and looked at me from wide open eyes.
Lucy's P.o.V.
I just watched him silently, forgetting that a certain few people were after me, I blanked them out and the next moment I was pulled into the bike shelter and pressed against the wall.
Whimpering, I looked up at the guy and the bitch next to him.
"L-let me!", I whimpered hotly, and collected a slap in the face.
"Give me your money, you freak!" they hissed and emptied water over my body, hot water.
Whimpering I tried to tear myself away as they poured cold water over my body and everything started to hurt terribly.
Colin's P.o.V
Annoyed, I let go of the guy as he wet his pants in fear.
"I'll have it for sure tomorrow, but please let me live!" he pleaded, even getting down on his knees in front of me.
"My boss hates it when he has to wait," I hissed and gave him a fist bump, knocking him unconscious to the floor.
Pissed off, I walked past a completely wet girl who had her back turned to me and didn't even bother stopping myself at her while I lit a joint and cursed under my breath.
Lucy's P.o.V
Soaking wet, I rang the front doorbell and stared at my red skin.
Kai buzzed and opened the door for me and invited me in.
"Oh god you're soaking wet, quickly go change before Colin gets here so you can watch me kill him live."
I said nothing, just looked at him for a moment, but avoided him. Besides the burns, there was something else and I didn't want to make a scene here, so I quickly went up to my room and put on an oversize sweater and jeans. It was hot as hell outside, but no one, really no one should see the bruises and cuts.
Colin's P.o.V.
Kai was probably already waiting in the wings, ready to spank me at any time, but the shitty deal today had made me so furious inside that I had gone to train and stood you up.
