Lucy's P.o.V
At some point I woke up, the blinds allowed a tiny bit of light to enter the room. I didn't know if he was watching me, so I stayed still.

This man was completely sick. But weren't we all somehow? Weren't we all damaged in some way? Didn't each of us have our own story that no one would ever be able to relate to, even if they wanted to?

Bravely, I began to stretch, moving slowly at first and then sitting up. His smell, clinging to his T-shirt, wormed its way into my brain, completely incapacitating it. I pulled the sheets against me and was about to get up when I was grabbed by the waist and pulled back into bed. I tossed and turned, trying to fight back, but he just smirked and breathed a rough "good morning" into my ear. I felt his big hands moving along my body and gently stroking my side. At first my body trembled and all I wanted was to leave, but abruptly something changed. My body wanted him, my mind wanted him, everything about me literally screamed with desire for this man. The way he touched me... it felt so good to finally feel this warmth that didn't just come from myself. I would not have thought that someone would manage to take away my fear of touch. I closed my eyes and cuddled up to him a bit. Surprised he paused for a moment and stopped the caress. After a while in which nothing had happened, he ran his lips over my shoulder towards my neck. Blood no longer seemed to flow through my veins, no, it was fire, burning hot fire that made my body glow.

"Colin.", I gasped as he began to bite and suck lightly.

"Huh?" he asked, grinning.

I started to laugh a little, listening to his deep growl. This feeling was new. Unfamiliar. His eyes were so beautiful. Deep... And deeper still I lost myself in that beautiful hue.

"Let's go get your things," I sighed.

I got dressed, unmotivated, and walked out with her. Out to the neighborhood where she would live her life as a sweet little girl.

A little later, we were standing in front of her home, her father opened the door, but when he caught sight of her I immediately saw the anger and violence she would experience later today.

"I'm sorry father..." my girl... breathed.    um... the girl meekly.

"The next day without food," he whispered, but he spoke just loud enough for me to hear.

My fiery gaze met her father's and my hand clenched into a fist as if automatically while I tried to hold back.

He grabbed my upper arm and squeezed it, as a taste a big touch too hard, making me gasp whimperingly. He threw the door shut and right after that I cried out hotter as he thundered his fist into my abdomen.

Damn, now I had to save her once again.

With practiced moves I burst into the house and pulled the terrified thing away from the man.

"Leave her alone you freak."

She buried her face against my chest and held onto me, gasping. Whimpering, she tried to withstand the pain

"Get your filthy fingers off my daughter, she's mine so get out of here you son of a bitch." her father hissed at me angrily.

I slowly pushed her away from me and stepped towards him menacingly.

"It would be my pleasure to kill you if it weren't for your daughter."

My father, however, grabbed a vase and threw it at me, whimpering as I looked at my abdominal wall, which had a splinter in it. I swallowed hard and felt dizzy seeing and smelling the blood.

Annoyed, I decided to break my resolution and pulled out my gun, only to shoot her father in the head and drag her out of the house afterwards.

"Now I understand why you can't go home."

The barrel of the gun was still hot when I put it back in my pants to remove the splinter.

"It's just skin damage, thank goodness."

She bit her lip and grasped the splinter with her pretty fingers.

"Please don't touch it..." she whimpered.

"It has to be removed or this shit will get infected and you'll die of blood poisoning."

Gently, I removed her fingers and laid hands on her myself. She whimpered and shook, throwing off her nerves and moving so wildly that I couldn't possibly do anything.

"D-don't touch it! It hurts!" she cried in torrents.

"It's all right. I'm not going to hurt you. Listen, take a deep breath in and out, okay?"

I brushed a tear from her face and encouraged her to join in while I breathed deeply in and out. The girl did as I told her and held still. At least she listened a tiny bit.

"That's it, when I say 'now' you take a deep breath out, okay?"

I had had to use this technique often enough when I had to remove a bullet, but it was great, at the moment of exhalation you felt no pain at all. She just nodded anxiously and looked at the white shirt that was now blood red. Very carefully, I grabbed the splinter and looked deep into her eyes, telling her that everything was going to be okay.

"Now."

I followed everything he had told me, but still felt a great deal of pain.... I have always been sensitive to pain. With a quick movement, the splinter was removed and the blood dried.

"I'm going to assume strongly that you don't want to go back to school today, right?" he asked with an encouraging smile.

"No...", I muttered softly.

"Well, let's organize a new home for you...", he said with a sigh.

Smiling sadly, he put an arm around my petite body and led me back to his apartment.

"Maybe Keith knows someone you could stay with."

I snapped.

"No!!! I don't want to! I don't want to please!", I cried. "I want to stay with you! Please don't give me away!", I held onto him.

"Shhh...", he said and his hand went up and down my side. "You can't stay with me, it would just be too dangerous for you and you would have to spend most of the day with Keith as I do my assignments"

"No please Colin! I don't want to leave!" I cried, threatening to hyperventilate. "My dad has money... I'll pay you... I do the housework... I'll cook when I get back from school...", I breathed while my heart beat faster and faster, gasping for air.

Tears were running down my cheeks.

I pulled her to me as I sat down on a bench, already feeling the stares of passersby on me.

"I can't, I'm sorry. I don't want to put you in unnecessary danger. I could take you to Keith's brother. He's not into the gang, he's studying medicine, he's a real geek, and he wouldn't even hurt a fly."

"No! Please don't!" she whined a little louder. "I'm not going to bug you! I'll follow you... Promised! Don't give me away..." she whimpered. "I already was passed on to a family that didn't want me... for the 5th time now. I don't want to be passed on anymore"

"You'd rather put up with being raped and beaten than stay with a buddy of mine who 100% wouldn't hurt you?", I asked in shock.
