I was fixing my boots when mom enters the room.
"Chloe?"
"Yes Mom,"
"They will be here anytime now, so you should come down as soon as possible," she says standing on the threshold of my room.
"I will be there in a minute," I say taking one last glance in the mirror. I hear my mom go downstairs after closing the door behind her.
I had completed majority of my work, but some parts were still left, and they were equally important, as they were also to be submitted the next day. But now I had to concentrate on this dinner and get over with it as fast as possible.
