I DON'T CARE - Kai Parker

𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐲-𝐞𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭

Lizzie sat against the pile of dirt from the hole Damon dug; Damon sipping his drink and making noises, "Mmm. Mmm, mmm, mmm." 

"Can you stop and let Bonnie concentrate for one moment, please?" Lizzie let out an annoyed huff to support her witch friend that sat besides her reading a spellbook.

"On the bright side," he motioned to his drink, "this stuff's not so bad. It's fruity and fizzy." 

Bonnie moved a piece of hair out of her eyesight, "Damon, I'm working on something--" 

"On the not so bright side is your intelligence because you took the only chance of us getting out of here and turned him into a giant douchekabob." With that, he took another swig of his drink he had found lurking about.

"Think about it Damon, what prison gives an inmate a key?" Bonnie asked.

"Is that a trick question? Or is this stuff actually starting to kick in?" Damon asked with a weirded out expression on his face because vampires can't get drunk from their healing powers.

"The Gemini coven used a Bennett spell to create this place; I was there when the idea popped up--" Lizzie started.

"What if that is why my Grams sent me here?" Bonnie asked baffled. 

"This is the face I make when I don't understand you both," he made a stupid face that caused Lizzie to roll her eyes and Bonnie to sigh.

Bonnie was looking down at the ascendant, "You know, the last thing my Grams said to me was to stay strong. What if that was her way of telling me I have the power to get out? I have the ascendant, a massive celestial event to draw from, plus a burning desire to get away from you, Damon." 

Damon sort of smiled with Bonnie at the remark she made at the end; Lizzie thought that maybe one day they will be the best of friends. 

The Bennett witch slightly held up the ascendant and started chanting spells in which the ascendant opened up. 

"That's why Kai wouldn't kill me," she had gotten up from her seat and walked towards Damon, showing him the ascendant that was now open, "He needed a Bennett. I was his only way out of here." 

With that Lizzie and Bonnie started to climb into the tunnels below; Damon asking, "Whoa. Where are you both going?" 

"Home, you coming?" Lizzie smiled with a cheery face on but she was deeply worried just in case Kai would revive just before they'd leave. 

The only reason she didn't tell them was so that they wouldn't lose any hope. 

Damon looked shocked and then looked up to the sky to take a quick peek at the sun before following after the two.

The two girls landed carefully on the ground with a slight grunt and Damon quickly jumped into the tunnels as well with his drink in his other hand. 

Damon sat down on the rocks and took a large swig of his drink to celebrate getting home; Bonnie was standing in the middle right under the hole in the top of the tunnel so that the eclipse could shine down. 

The tunnels were a damp and dark place to be. Bonnie took the edge of the ascendant and sliced through the skin on her palm to draw crimson blood. 

Lizzie stood by her side and her legs anxiously jumped up and down because there was no time left; Kai was going to revive and stop them from leaving without him. 

The blood dripped down onto the ascendant and she sighed with relief. 

She started chanting again to open the ascendant wider to activate them jumping through portals; the clogs started chiming and moving around in the centre.
