Chapter 5

Emily's POV

I got back in and spoke to headmaster some more while he showed me around and when we got back Kenna walked in

"Hey Mom" she said walking over to me

"Hey babes, how did the test go?" I ask her

"Ehh it was okay, Math was super easy and the other things weren't hard either" she says which causes me to chuckle, we say goodbye and head home.

"You aren't going to freak out are you?" She ask me

"What do you mean?" I ask her

"When I go to school you aren't going to freak out with me not being home?" She ask seriously and I laugh

"I didn't get the first day of Pre-k stage I get to freak out a little" I say and she smiles as we head home

Makennas POV

I am really excited about school I just don't want my mom to worry. When we got room I said goodbye to my mom and went upstairs to call Spencer, he likes to send me random problems through out the day which is fun,

"Hey"

"Hey Kenna, how was the test?"

"It was easy, I'm pretty sure I'm smarter than you"

"That's not possible, you may be smart but not as smart as me"

"If you say so" I laugh and my mom walks in

"Who are you talking to?" She ask

"Spencer, I'll put him on speaker"

"Hey Em, your daughter is not being logical"

"No you're just sad I'm smarter than you"

"Yea Spence I think she got you beat"

"What!!? No! You both are wrong, I will send you some problems to see if you can solve them" he says and hangs up

"Sounds like you made a friend" my mom laughs

"Yea, Spence is pretty cool" I say turning back to my phone and she walks out

JJs POV

We havnt gotten any cases lately just consults so it's been pretty slow, it's something we needed, time to catch up on paperwork, I walk over to Spencer sitting at his desk on his phone which he rarely uses

"Who's go you smiling at the phone?" I ask him

"Oh it's just Kenna, we are talking about how smart she is" he says and I shake my head walking off to call Emily

"Hey Em, how did the thing at the school go?"

"Hey! And it went well, she did good and she starts on Monday"

"That's wonderful! To hear, I heard her and Spencer have been getting along"

"Yes, he is actually coming over tonight. I wanted to know if you wanted to grab dinner?"

"I would love too! Are you sure it's okay with Kenna?"

"Yep! It was her idea actually, her and Spencer are going to have a smarts battle of some sort I guess"

"Okay, I get off at 6. Is that okay?"

"Yea, I will pick you up from your house at 7?"

"That works with me, see you later Emily"

"See you later"

I hang up and I smile to myself. I'm going on a date with Emily Prentiss. Now I just need this day to fly by.
