Chapter 7

Emily's POV

Up again at 6, Kenna groans and rolls over covering her head with the blanket while I shut the alarm off. I grab my phone and check my messages before getting up to get ready

"Kenna come on babe, you got to get up" I say walking into the bathroom

"I'm really starting to regret wanting to go to school" she says through the door

"It's the second day" I laugh walking back out to get dressed

"I know, but it sucks" she says walking in the bathroom to get herself ready, 30 minutes later she is finally ready and the room service I ordered is delivered. We eat our breakfast and get ready to walk out the door.

"Have fun today, Make friends and work hard" I smile as she gets out in front of the school while I drive to work.

"Welcome back Prentiss" Derek says giving me a smile as I walk in

"Glad to be back, going stir crazy at home all day". I say

"How's Kenna liking school?" Spencer asked

"Don't you talk to her?" I laugh "kidding, she likes it. Not so much the getting up at 6 but she made a friend" I say

"Well that's good" JJ says walking up behind me

"Yea it is." I smile

"Agent Prentiss, glad to see you are back, we don't have a case everyone so you guys can just work on paperwork" Hotch says walking to his office

The rest of us talk before the room gets a little quiet

"Ambassador Prentiss" Derek says and I groan turning my head

"What are you doing here Mother?" I say rolling my eyes

"Well Emily if you had bothered to answer your phone I wouldn't have to just show up" she says

"Then why are you here?" I ask again. The rest of the team silent.

"I wanted to apologize Emily. For everything" she says

"Really? Right now? In front of my team?" I ask her again annoyed

"Yes because you won't talk to me anywhere else!. I'm sorry for over reacting about Kenna, I am trying to figure this all out. I'm also sorry for calling you a slut" she says before I cut her off

"Really!? You seriously couldn't have waited?" I say  while the team just looks at me with a shocked expression

"Look Emily. I'm sorry. Please come home. I need to explain and go over our next steps" she says

"Fine. One word out of line to Makenna and we are gone forever. You understand?" I say again not willing to put my daughter at risk anymore

"Of course" she says and we both nod as she walks out

"Damn Emily, sticking up to Mommy ambassador" he jokes

"Oh shut up" I smile and take a seat next to Jennifer.

"You okay?" She whispers to me

"Yea" I give her a soft smile and gently place my hand on hers before getting up to get some air.

Makennas POV

Its 10am now and I'm sitting in my second class. AP Physics. I only really talk to one person. Her name is Oakley and I have all my classes with her, she helped me yesterday and we talk during our breaks.

"Hey come sit with me and my friends for lunch" she says once the bell rings for our advisory period.

"Are you sure? I don't want to intrude on that." I say as we walk out
