Chapter 18

JJs POV

Tomorrow is the Gala and I'm so excited, I don't know what to wear so I called Pen and she is on her way to help me pick out an outfit.

"JJ I'm here" she says walking into my apartment

"In here " I yell back

"Well let's see what we are working with" she smiles going over to my closet

"Oh I love this! And this! And those too!" She exclaims flipping through all of my clothes

"Pen! I only need one outfit" I giggle and she turns around facing me

"So, does this mean you and Emily are getting back together?" She ask and I shake my head

"No, we are just going as friends and I have date tonight with Will," I sigh

"You're really going with Will?" She asked me and I nod

"Yea I mean he is a nice man" I say

"So you're not just trying to make Emily jealous?" She smirks

"No, I want to settle down, I want kids Pen. I'm 29 years old and no where near settling down plus I'm not getting any younger" I sigh looking at the clothes Pen picked out

"Oh JJ" she says giving me a hug

"For what it's worth I think you would be an amazing mother, I mean look how good you were with Kenna" she tells me

"Thank you, and Kenna was easy, she's a teenager she can take care of herself for the most part. I will say I miss her. I miss her stories about school and why she thought Emily was being mean that day" I smile thinking of the memories I have with Her

"Why don't you both still hang out?" She ask as we sit down on my bed

"Honestly I don't know, I don't think she wants too. I think she kind of blames me for not getting back with Emily" I tell her and she nods slowly understanding what I'm saying

"I'm sure she will come around" she says standing up

"Anyway, I love this go try it on" she tells me and I chuckle running into the bathroom to change and coming out in a light pink dress with a slit all the way  up the left side,

"That's gorgeous" Pen  gushes

" I like it" I smile turning around so she could see it all

"This ones next" she hands me another dress, this one yellow

"Unzip this one please" I ask her and she does that while I take off the dress,

I step into the yellow dress and pull it up

This one only has one strap over the shoulder and the other bare and comes down just above the knees

"What do you think of this one?" I ask pen twirling around

"I like it!" She says walking around me

"Two more" she says and I step out of the yellow one and step into a sleek black one.

It hangs off both shoulders and slightly pushes up my breast, the dress goes right below the knee and slightly puffed on the arms

"I like the way this one fits" I say moving around in it

"Last one" she says this time handing me a dark navy blue one, this one is longer than the others, goes down to my ankles, and is a long sleeved one

"Oh my this one definitely brings out your eyes" Pen smiles

"I like this one too! God Pen I can't decide" I sigh sitting down on my bed
