Chapter 49

JJs POV

"I mean you still want to be my wife....right?" She ask me

"Oh Emily... of course I do. I am so happy you are here I am." I tell her

"Oh thank god, I thought I had lost you there" she says sadly

"You'll never lose me, unless you pull this shit again" I chuckle

"Never baby" she smiles

"When's Kenna coming home?" She ask me

"In the morning, she's staying with Grant" I tell her

"It's good to see they are still together" she says

"Yea, he makes her really happy" I smile

"She hates me" Emily sighs

"No she doesn't" I tell her

"Yea she does, maybe I deserve it," Emily says

"She doesn't Emily, and you were just keeping us safe and I'm sorry I was so hostile in the beginning it just hurt to know you were alive after everything. Kenna's only 16, she only sees that her mother abandoned her.... she doesn't see the part where you did it to keep her safe. She will come around, we can talk to her tomorrow when she gets home" I say and hold Emily's hand and she looks over at me

"Can I kiss you?" She ask me and I smile

"Mmhmm" I mumble and she plants a small, soft and loving kiss against my lips and pulls away resting her head against mine

"I missed that" she says and I smile

"I missed you" I say and she get a phone call and I go upstairs to re-collect my thoughts

I sit there for I don't even know how long until Emily comes up and sits down next to me

"Who was that?" I ask her

"Lawyers, they want to know if Monday is a good day to meet with them?" She ask and I nod

"Yes, what's it for?"

"Basically just to say I'm alive, and I have to sign papers again for everything. After its all said in done it will go back to before I "died", because even before we got married I added your name to all of the papers, half of everything is yours, the money, the house, " she explains and I nod

"How come I didn't know you had that much money? I mean I knew you had some I just didn't think it was that much" I ask

"We don't talk money" she chuckles

"But they should have showed you everything, yes?" She ask and I nod once again

"Well there was that and then Kenna has a trust fund but she won't have access to that until she is 25, or if I feel like she won't be responsible with it then I will just hold off on it. Because that's her money once she becomes of age, and of course if she ever needs money before that all she has to do it ask." She explains

"Does she know about it?" I ask

"She knows there is one but doesn't know how much is in it." She says and I lean into her.

"She loves you, even if she is upset" I assure her. I know it's been bothering her not having Makenna talk to her or even hear her out about it all

"I'm going to take a shower.... you're clothes are all still where you left them. Well most of them" I tell her

"I see they are out of the closet" she smiles

"I got lonely" I admit and she smiles and I get up going into my bathroom to take a shower while Emily goes to a guest room.

I took my time In the shower, mostly thinking back on all of the events of the last few days. I know I told Emily that Kenna will come around soon but honestly I don't know I have never seen her this mad before, I don't want her to feel as if I am betraying her by trying to get her to talk to Emily.

I finished my shower and got dressed in the bathroom incase emily was in the bedroom again, I did my nightly routine and walked out to find her sitting on the edge of the bed

"I though you had fallen asleep in there" she says

"I was just thinking" I say and she used her shampoo, conditioner and body wash that I had placed in the guest room after buying more

"You smell more like you now" I chuckle

"I looked everywhere for my soap in Paris... they did not have it and I couldn't order it." She says

"Yea you smelled  a little funny" I smile and she shakes her head

"Well you still smell like lavender" she says and I laugh

"I do," I smile

"Your hair, it's different" I point out

"Just a little shorter" she says

"Have you been keeping up with our shows?" I ask her

"No, they didn't come on over there on the right days and I just kept forgetting" she says, the three of us would always sit down and watch it when it came on

"Then what did you do for 6 months" I ask her

"Not a whole lot, it was quite boring. I stayed in my apartment for the majority of the time" she says

"What about you?" She ask me and I laugh

"Not even going to lie, there were a lot of lazy days, I stayed home cleaned the house and watched tv, Kenna and I went shopping, and it was not much happening" I say and she nods

"You didn't have to leave the BAU," she tells me

"I did, it was something I needed. I was actually planning on going back but not anymore" I say and she looks down

"I'm sorry"

"It's not your fault" I say

"How was Kenna? She listen for you?" She ask me

"Of course, she is a wonderful young lady, we had like 3 bumps  along the road but other than that all was fine, we were actually having dinner with Grants parents when Derek called" I say

"Grants a good kid" she says

"Yea he is" I agree,

"Well I'm tired, I'm going to go ahead and get some sleep" I say getting under the covers in our bed,

"Yea me too" she says getting up and walking out of the room,

"Emily" I say and she walks back in

"Yes?" She ask

"You can stay in here..." I say and she looks around first

"Are you sure?" She ask and I nod

"Yea" I say and she gets in bed on top of the comforter and just covers up with a different blanket
