Chapter 19

Emily's POV

It's Gala day! I'm excited to see JJ out of work again,

The one weekend we have the Saturday off I'm up at 8am

It's at another property my mother owns, larger than this one but is only used for parties, about a 10 minute drive from our house and a 30 minute drive from Jennifer's,

"Emily are you up?" My mother says walking in my room

"Yes mother I'm up" I groan rolling over and getting out of bed

"Good, breakfast is being delivered, I'll let you get Makenna" she says exiting the room as quickly as she came in,

I got out of bed sent Jennifer a 'good morning' text and made my way to the bathroom to take a shower,

I took my time this morning, making sure to lather the soap into my hair and all over my body, I miss showering with JJ, I rinse my body off and get out, making sure to put lotion on before changing into an outfit to wear for the day, I won't put the suit on until I go get Jennifer,

I finished getting dressed and walked down to Kenna's room to make sure she was awake

"Kenna babes you up?" I ask through her door

"No!" She yells back

"Come on Kenna, Elizabeth ordered breakfast and we have a big day so let's go" I say and I could hear her groan and get up, I chuckle and make my way downstairs

"Breakfast is here" My mother says when she sees me

"Thank you" I say sitting down with some breakfast and my cup of coffee,

"Good morning" Makenna says walking down In her pajamas

"Good morning Hun" My mother says and Kenna sits down next to me

"Do you both have your outfits?" Elizabeth asked and we both nodded

"Yea" I say taking a sip of my coffee

"How long does this thing usually last?" Kenna ask

"Usually till like 12 but we can leave early if you want" I tel her

"Okay, I'm going to go and- not text Oakley" she sighs standing up and sitting back down

"You don't need a phone, " I tell her putting my plate in the dishwasher

"Where's your phone?" My mother ask her

"Mom took it" she groans

"Why?" Elizabeth ask

"Because I'm Her mother and she knows why" I say sitting back down and my mother drops the topic

"What time are we leaving?" Kenna ask

"5. We are getting Jennifer at 5:30" I tell her

"Agent Jareau?" My mother asked

"Yea" I say

"Okay, well I'm going upstairs now" Kenna says leaving us alone

"Are you sure you want to bring Agent Jareau?" She ask me

"Yes. Of course, you said I needed a date and Jennifer is my date" I tell her

"Oh....okay" she says and I nod slowly

"Yep, I'm going up to get my things ready" I say walking to my room
